Monday was my 35th birthday. I honestly can’t believe I am 35. I don’t feel 35 if that counts for anything. I’ve only had one true freak out moment over turning 35 and that was when I renewed my driver’s license and got an 8 year renewal and then realized I would be 43 the next time I needed to renew. So it wasn’t the fact that I was about to turn 35 but the fact that I would be in my 40’s the next time I needed to renew my driver’s license. HA. This is 35 y’all.
I think you are only as old as you feel and I don’t feel a day over 27. At least until I have to bend over all night at work and my back is completely shot by the time I get home. Also any time I go on vacation. Why do I always want to go to bed early and nap on vacation?? I never used to do that!
I think 35 is going to be a big year for me. I’m not really sure why or how but I can feel it. Maybe I will move? Maybe I will make a work change? Maybe I will finally get to meet Kliff Kingsbury face to face?? HA! But really though, I can feel it in my bones…35 is going to be MY year.
I always thought I would have life figured out by the time I was 35 but I think the only thing I have figured out is that I will never have it “figured out”. And I’m completely ok with that.
I spent my birthday in Dallas. I flew in from Seattle Sunday night (more on that tomorrow!) and decided to just stay the night in Dallas instead of driving back home. BEST decision ever. I slept in, ate Red Velvet Pancakes from IHOP for breakfast, grabbed a latte from Starbs and then got pampered at Bellacures. I got a manicure, pedicure and got my brows done…they were all much needed and since self-care is my JAM that was the perfect way to spend my morning. When I was done I grabbed some In and Out and then headed home. I’m not one for big, over-the-top celebrations (for myself) so I have to say that was one of my favorite birthdays!!
I can’t wait to see what this year brings and what I choose to do with it. 35 is my year and I can’t wait to see what happens!! Bring it!! This is 35.

Happy Belated Birthday! I remember when I turned 35. It doesn’t seem that long ago. I totally agree that age is just a number and your birthday celebration was perfect. I mean, hello, red velvet pancakes – yum!

Enjoy being 35. Great age. Only gets better with time. Don’t ever let age bother you. Take care of yourself and go enjoy.

Happy birthday! I’m telling you know it goes so quickly. I am a little bit older than you and I cannot believe that I have hit the age that I have either. I’m glad you spoiled yourself and red velvet pancakes am good.

Happy birthday! I’m just a few years behind you and I don’t feel 33 either. Of course there are days where I feel worse lol, but most of the time, I feel like I’m still in my 20’s. I love your outlook on life and kudos to you for keeping a positive mindset about getting older.

I have definitely embraced getting a bit older. I still take great care of myself and act like I’m 20!

Well Happy Birthday! I can tell you 36 feels a lot like 35. So there’s that. I too thought I would have life figured out by now, but it still surprises me daily. Take each day in stride and I hope 35 really is your year!

Happy Birthday! I hope you have an amazing 35th year! I have to admit I don’t feel much older than mid twenties. Where did time go!

Happy Birthday! I turned 32 last year and I know what you mean when you say you do not feel 35, I am the same way. I love that you are excited for what the year brings, going into a new phase with positive thinking will only make things better! I have heard that people love their thirty’s because you have a good sense of who you are, which I think is very true.

It’s a good milestone to celebrate! I think 35 is not old but just the start of a great and happy life, one that’s more mature, wiser, and smarter. Happy birthday!

Age is indeed a number. In fact if you think, deep down you remain the same, you are the same person at 35 or 30 or 40. Changes if any are only superficial.

I remember 35! My husband threw a surprise birthday party for me. It was at a hotel and a lot of fun. I enjoyed each and every one of my guests! I started teaching in a new district that I loved, too. Good times!

When I turned 35, I have two little ones and life was busy then. I can’t believe it is almost ten years, I will be 45 this year!
I can’t to see what you are going to do, move or change career?
Our Family World says
Belated Happy Birthday to you! I just love how you treated yourself on your special day. That was really nice! When I turned 35, I already had a teenaged daughter and two pre-teen sons. I had the same feeling – am I really 35? But hey, age is just a number. I would rather count memories than years.

Happy Birthday! It’s funny 30 was sad for me, I loved 40 but 35 didn’t really make me feel anything. You are on the right road – Pamper yourself and take care of yourself- age sneaks up quick but it doesn’t have to scare us if we travel the road right
Anosa says
Happy Belated birthday dear, you definitely don’t look a day over 27 and as for the napping on vacation, maybe its something in the 30s because I turned 30 last year and all I do is enjoy lovely naps even on vacation lol
This is your year!
