It’s finally Friday!! I don’t know about you but this week has been the weirdest, worst and best week ever. All at the same time. Ugh. I blame it on the full moon. But anyway, since it’s Friday you know what that means…it’s time for the Friday Five! If you are new here then you should know that Fridays are reserved for my random thoughts. Sometimes they have a theme but most times they don’t. Today is completely random but all of these things are totally blog worthy!! So let’s get to it!!
ONE. First things first, and the thing that was really the icing on the cake to the worst part of my week was my laptop crashing. Ugh. I was in the middle of writing my blog post for Tuesday when the whole thing just froze up and after a few minute I tried to restart it and then I got a solid white screen with a blinking file folder with a question mark in it. Then that went away and I got a flashing circle with a line through it. It was very dramatic to say the least.
Of course all of this went down at 4:30am and I had to wait until the afternoon to call Apple. Bless their sweet hearts they tried to fix me over the phone but it just wasn’t meant to be fixed so off to the Apple store I went! Fortunately for me the wonderfully patient people at the Genius Bar were able to diagnose my baby with some sort of loose cable on the hard drive and they were able to fix it overnight! I got my baby back Wednesday night and am just now getting around to blogging again.
I have had my MacBook Pro since 2013 and have never hand an issue with it but for about 12 hours the other day I was afraid she was a goner and was not looking forward to purchasing another one. I did do a little research, I have always been a “worst case scenario” type of person and I think when I do eventually buy another Mac it will be an Air and not a Pro. Just my thoughts anyway…
TWO. After the whole laptop debacle all I wanted to do was zone out. Fortunately for me I am a little bit obsessed with a new (to me) show on Netflix and binged through a couple of seasons and felt much better! Have you seen Call the Midwife yet?? If you are into BBC shows and medical shows then you should love this one!!
THREE. I have been getting a lot of emails about my Losing Weight is HARD blog post asking what I’ve been eating and have I been working out, etc. and while I do intend on addressing that in a full blog post on it’s own what I can tell you right now is that to this day I still haven’t found a workout that I just love yet. So instead of getting in a true workout my sweet Sophie pup and I have been hitting our favorite park a couple of times a week (mostly just on the days I’m off work) and walking for an hour. You would be surprised how many calories you burn just by walking. Here is a typical walk according to the stats only FitBit.
FOUR. I love that it’s been pretty cool lately so getting out and walking for an hour each day hasn’t been too bad for Sophie or myself. Since it’s been semi-cool outside I’ve had fall on the brain a lot and I’m finally ready to decorate the outside of my house! Don’t get me wrong the inside of my house has been pumpkin-ed out since about mid-August but I finally felt ready to get the outside of my house decorated. I fully intended on making my own fall wreath this year but what I did put together was a hot mess so I ordered this bad boy from Etsy and I’m obsessed with it!!You can check out the shop I got it from here. She has a LOT of cute stuff!!
FIVE. Last, but certainly not least, today is the big day!! Today is the Botox and filler event at Arkansas Family Dental!! I have been a patient at Arkansas Family Dental for 9+ years, pretty much ever since I moved to central Arkansas. I have gotten all of my regular teeth cleanings, fillings and crowns done there. I also got my Invisalign done there. The doctors there are truly the best and I can’t wait to trust them with the rest of my face!! If you live in central Arkansas and have been thinking about getting Botox or fillers then you should come out today and join me!! Check out the details for the event here!
And that’s it for this week’d Friday Five!! I hope you have had a fabulous week!
How was your week this past week??
Have you thought about getting Botox of fillers??

You can’t beat Mac for the money in my opinion! I have one and I love it! It will always make my Friday Five!

I love, love, LOVE my FitBit. Since I started trying to live a healthier lifestyle, it’s been a key tool for me. It really helps me stay on track.

I always enjoy seeing how people decorate their homes around Halloween. Nice decoration for your front door.

Free botox, pretty cool! I’ve always been curious about how it’s going to feel or look after I get the shots. I’m sorry about the computer though, I hope things pull through. That app could really help me keep track of things!

That is a pretty fall decor you have on your door. Fall is my favorite season that I already decorated even before fall started. Happy Fall!

The other day I got a wild thought in my head to purchasing a Mac — I have an iPhone and an iPad, but have never had a Mac computer. Although, I will admit, making that change scares me! It sounds like you absolutely love yours though!

I kinda wish that I could invest in a MAC. The last few years, I have been using a chromebook and have been pleaser with it. Not sure what I will get when she dies.
I love the wreath. I’ve been debating on grabbing a few pumpkins for the porch. I usually don’t decorate much. In the past, I have had teenagers grab and bust my pumpkins. :(

Love how you have decorated! We had a busy week with school and a weekend getaway

I don’t think I’ll ever purchase a MAC lol just not into Apple products, but that purchase from Etsy looks great! I’ll have to check her out.

Nothing worse than your laptop crashing! Especially in the middle of writing a blog post.
