Celebrate National Iced Tea Month at McDonald’s

This post contains affiliate links.

I am a brand ambassador for Central Arkansas McDonalds. While I am being compensated for this post all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it much on here yet but I have given up cokes…again. I use to be a Diet Coke fanatic. As is all I would drink all day long would be Diet Coke. I just felt kind of blah all the time.

I gave up the old DC a few years ago but they have slowly snuck back into my life except this time it was regular Coke instead of Diet.

I say all of that to say that even though I gave up cokes I had to replace it with something. Now I love a good cold glass of water as much as the next girl and usually drink water all day ‘err day but sometimes when I am out and about I want something different to drink. I think that’s what I miss the most, being able to run through a drive through anytime I’m out and about and getting a yummy carbonated beverage to drink in the car. It’s boring to go through and only order water so I started spicing things up and started ordering tea. I’m a wild one, let me tell you…HA!

I will go ahead and admit that I haven’t always been a big tea drinker. In fact, when I was younger and my grandmother was trying to teach me how to set a proper table (because that’s something every southern woman should know how to do, LOL) she made me drink tea instead of my usual water because tea goes on the table and water doesn’t…at least according to her. HA! Well I refused to drink sweet tea and only drank unsweetened because it tasted like water. She almost died when I told her that and I have been drinking unsweetened tea ever since. So yes, I am a southern lady (sort-of) and I don’t drink sweet tea, can’t stand the stuff. Please don’t take away my southern card!!!

June is National Iced Tea Month and my favorite place to grab an ice cold unsweetened tea when I am out and about is McDonald’s of course!! There is just something about their tea that is just so good!! It tastes like the tea I make at home and I always request mine in a Styrofoam cup instead of plastic because it stays colder longer!!

McDonald’s uses a “brisk blend of orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea” according to their website. And if you like sweet tea then you can trust that is has been sweetened to perfection and the 32 oz cup only contains 38 grams of sugar, which is down from their old recipe, which had 69 grams.

So if you are out and about during National Tea Month then stop by your local McDonald’s and grab a glass of iced tea!! YUM!!

Don’t forget McDonald’s now has any size Soft Drink and Tea for just $1!! You can’t beat that deal!!

Do you like tea??
What is your favorite tea??

I do like tea, but it’s been a while since I’ve had sweetened black tea. As a kid I loved drinking sweet tea with dinner. But as I’ve gotten older I have grown to love unsweetened green and herbal teas.

I do like tea. I have to admit that McDonald’s tea is pretty tasty. I like to make it half and half. I don’t like my tea too sweet.

McDonalds has brought back their tea for the summer months. Funny how some people love their sweet tea and other only prefer black or regular tea. Didn’t know there was a tea month.

I live in Georgia, so I fully appreciate a month dedicated to iced tea. AND McDonald’s knows how to do it right! It is sugary, cold, and delicious.

I love tea, though I definitely prefer coffee. You can’t go wrong with $1 beverages at McDonald’s!

I could drink the sweet tea from McDonald’s all day, every day. When I was in nursing school, we went every day on break to get a large one for the afternoon slump lol

I absolutely love ice tea but must admit that I have never tried the ice tea from McDonald’s. Maybe I should swap it out for my typical coke the next time I have a nuggets craving!

I like tea but I usually end up putting no calorie sweetner in it. I am guilty of drinking too much diet soda too. opps I know it isn’t great for you but it is no worse than being obese from drinking the full calorie stuff either.

When I used to eat at McD, I always got their iced tea. I love making my own now for a refreshing summer drink!

Who would have thought? First they beat Starbucks at the coffee game and now tea, too? Awesome.
