My First Plus Size Stitch Fix

This post contains affiliate links.

Let me preface this post by saying I need to up my mirror selfie game and I see now that my mirror needs a serious wipe down, HA!! Anyway…on to today’s post!

At the end of February Stitch Fix  finally came out with their much anticipated very first Plus Size Fix!!! I signed up the moment I heard about it and literally stalked the website until I got a tracking number, HA! Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription service for clothing that has been around since 2011. Yes, you read that right, it’s been around since 2011 and after 6 long years finally released a plus size line…but that’s another subject for another day.

Basically you pay a $20 styling fee for your box and that fee is applied to whatever clothing items you decide to keep. Don’t want anything from the box? No problem, but you do forfeit that $20 fee. Want everything from the box? You get a 25% discount on the whole thing!

One thing I really liked about my Fix was that you got to pick your price point for your items. For fun, I chose “the cheaper the better” and got some really great items! Another thing I love about Stitch Fix is that you can choose the frequency of your Fixes. I went with monthly Fix but you can get a new box as frequently as every 2-3 weeks and if you want to skip a box you can do that for no extra fee!! Like I said, I really like Stitch Fix!

I scheduled my first box for Monday March 13 (the earliest date available) but actually received it Thursday March 9…YAS!!! I was impressed with the speed of my shipment also with my items!! Another unique feature to Stitch Fix is that you can request items if you want to. Say you have an event coming up and you need a dress to wear, you can request that your stylist send you a few options and he/she totally will! You can also link a Pinterest board to your Stitch Fix account for your stylist to see what you really love. I have to say that my stylist stuck really close to the board I linked up and I really loved all of the pieces I received!!

Now let’s see what I got!!

ONE. 4Hawthorn Abriana Longsleeve Knit Cardigan. If you know me at all then you know that I love a cute cardigan more than life itself some days. I love the color of this cardigan, it is perfect for spring and the cut is perfect!!! I kept this item!!!

TWO. Papermoon Anica Knit Top. If there is one thing I am absolutely obsessed with right now, it’s anything with stripes. I just bought striped curtains for my living room and I have soooo many striped tops!! They look cute with my cardigans, what can I say?! I liked this top but it’s actually pretty similar to another top I already own so I returned it but the styling was on point!!

THREE. Gilli Arianna Maxi Dress. I have to admit right here that I am not a huge fan of maxi dresses. Sad but true. While I loved the floral pattern of this one the length was throwing me off. When I think of maxi dresses, I think of a dress that skims the floor and this one was more ankle length on me so I returned it.

FOUR. Kut from the Kloth Dayna Distressed Skinny Jean. First of all while I really loved the cut of these skinny jeans I was not in love with the color. I am just not a fan of light colored jeans. Sorry!! #Returned

FIVE. Romolo Genevieve Stacked Chevron Pendant Necklace. Last, but certainly not least, is this gorgeous gold chevron necklace. I really loved everything about this necklace but again, I own a similar one so…#Returned

And that, ladies and gents, was my first Plus Size Stitch Fix. Overall, I really loved the whole box and the fact that I got some items similar to ones I already own is a huge plus because that means my stylist really got me!! I’m already counting down the days until my next Fix!!!

Have you tried Stitch Fix??

Pretty you! I’ve read about these kind of boxes before and have been intrigued. How awesome would be to not have to go shopping .. but have everything come to your doorstep instead?!

That’s so funny about mirror selfies. I’ve taken a lot of awesome pics, just to find that they’ve been ruined because the mirror magnified a lot of things my naked eye couldn’t see (on the mirror). I don’t like maxi dresses either…mostly because I am short. Too bad you can’t ‘stitch fix’ that dress to be shorter…because I think the top half has potential.
