I’m back again this week with another question out of the 30 Questions series. This is seriously so much fun and really makes me think!! I really hope you are like this series as much as I do!! Also- I finally found the original blog post with the 30 Questions if you want to check it out and do it yourself! Some people do these all in a month but I have chosen to spread mine out to once a week.
And one more thing…to check out my previous questions click here!
Question 8: What are 5 passions you have?
Confession…this actually a really tough question for me for some reason. I don’t want to go all cliche and say “God, my family, friends…et” because I feel like that is the easy way out. So today I am going to talk about five things that I am passionate about that aren’t as deep as God and my family.
ONE. Google. What did we ever do before Google? I don’t even know. I am the self-proclaimed Google Queen. I can find out anything about anybody and information about pretty much anything in the world. I can find the most obscure facts about anything with Google and I love having all of that information at my fingertips. Google truly is a powerful thing and I am pretty passionate about it.
TWO. Self Care. I work in the healthcare field as a Respiratory Therapist and you wouldn’t believe the amount of people that come to the hospital with diseases so advanced that could have been prevented for the most part if they had gotten a check up from their PCP. Do yourself a favor and get a yearly checkup even if you don’t think you need one. Take care of yourself!! You are important.
THREE. Blogging. Blogging truly is a full time job in itself. I feel like most people think you just bang out a blog post on your computer, hit post, and BOOM it’s done but that is so far from the truth! It’s all about planning your posts, writing them, taking and editing photos, scheduling the post as well as all social media, etc. Each post I publish on this site takes a couple of hours worth of work but it is something I love to do and if I ever get to the point where I don’t love it then I will quit.
FOUR. Reading. Reading is one of the most valuable skills you can ever learn. When I was a kid I read to escape. I read to visit new places and learn things. I was always reading one book or another and I still do. I just don’t understand those people that never pick up another book again after they graduate from high school or college. HOW??
FIVE. Netflix. I could have also said Hulu or Amazon Prime Streaming but Netflix is my favorite. I am so OCD and have to watch shows in order so being able to stream an entire show from start to finish is a big deal to me and I love it. I will tell you one thing I don’t love though…the guilt trip I go on when Netflix is all “Are you still watching?” Ummm…YES.
So those are five weird things that I am passionate about. Weird, but true and not cliche at all!
What are you passionate about??

I am totally with you on Google! I too google just about anything. Hah! Couldn’t said it best about how ‘not-that-simple’ blogging really is in reality. There’s so much going on behind the scene that what people see is basically just a fraction of what we do.
I’m passionate about anything related to single mom even when I’m already engage, helping my fellow Indonesian single moms has been a huge passion of mine.
Great and fun series!

I can’t remember what we did before Google! Seriously how did we even make it LOL? I am passionate about family and travel. I love to travel and I love to bring my family everywhere I go.

I thought I was the Google queen! You wouldn’t believe the cooking questions I receive, like “help, I don’t have this ingredient. Can I sub this” from the readers of my blog. I want to say, “google it.” But I’m so sweet that I do it for them and answer their question. :)

I really have no idea what I did before Google! I was always interested in looking things up though and loved to browse through my Granddad’s encyclopedias. I hear you on the blogging, it really is a full time job.
Jenn @ EngineerMommy says
I use Google many times per day. I can’t remember what it is like not to be able to quickly research something online. The speed of getting an answer is truly incredible!
Gwendolyn Mulholland says
I feel you about Google and Netflix. My daughter will even say Google It, if someone asks her a question. I love binge watching and hate watching shows one episode at a time.
Sarah Bailey says
Oh my goodness I would find this so hard to do as well – definitely with you on blogging that is most definitely a passion.

I honestly don’t know what I did without Google. I remember dialing a the number 411 to get info about stuff around my area, but honestly I feel there is a gap in my memory about what I use to do.

I love reading. I actually just went to my favorite used book store tonight. I don’t think I ever leave empty handed.

Reading!! That’s one of my favorites. And instead of Netflix, I’m a dvr/on demand viewer. I could spend all day catching up on my shows.

I love reading too! This is so much fun, I will have to check out these 30 questions challenge. It sounds like something that would be fun to do on my blog.

I agree with blogging, I can’t even compose a blog post now in one sitting. I have to go back and forth as I thik of what to write lol. I haven’t done the PCP this year so thanks for the reminder.
