Growing up I loved to play board games. Santa brought me one every Christmas and my family played them a couple of times a week. Some of our favorites were Clue, Scrabble, Monopoly, and Life! We also loved card games and dominos. Some of my absolute best childhood memories are nights when my whole family sat around the kitchen table eating pizza and playing games. I hope to do that one day with my own family!
Until then I will just have to invite my girlfriends over for Girl’s Night In so I can get my game fix!
I think the perfect game night includes a good selection of both board and card games, fun snacks, and a signature drink! Every party has a signature drink, right? Mine do! Luckily I already had this bottle of Blackberry Cobbler Arkansas Lightning from Rock Town Distillery, a central Arkansas distillery, and so I decided to mix it with some champagne and rock candy and call it Blackberry Rocks! The fun part about this drink is that the flavor changes with the different rock candy flavors, it also changes the color so you can easily tell who each drink belongs to easily! To make it you just mix a shot of Blackberry Cobbler Arkansas Lightening with a glass of champagne and top with a rock candy of your color/flavor choice! YUM!
The leftover rock candy also makes cute table decor!!
For my fun snacks I would just go out and grab some Confetti Popcorn from Pop Pop Shoppe in Little Rock! It’s bright and colorful and it tastes delicious! Each different color has its own flavor, you should seriously try some if you haven’t already.
And then there are the games. Of course I would go with my childhood faves Scrabble, Clue, and Monopoly. I would also throw in Apples to Apples because that has quickly become one of my favorite games to play as an adult. I also love Cards Against Humanity but I don’t own that one! I also found a super fun “retro” pack of Uno cards at Target that I just had to buy. I am a sucker for anything retro…my Scrabble and Clue games are also “retro” that I grabbed at Target last year!
And then of course there are gift bags! No party is complete without gift bags! For a Girl’s Game Night In! party I would have to include some rock candy, a mini champagne (with its own mini straw…I DIE!!!), and a “The Perfect Gift” Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Scratch Off!! The Perfect Gift is one of the brand new scratch off games and is perfect for all of the upcoming holidays! I think scratch offs make great stocking stuffers, gift bag goodies, to go in Christmas Cards, etc.
I would also have some of the other new scratch offs as party decor that could double as prizes for whoever wins the games! Because you must have prizes at a game night party. Duh. The other new scratch offs are the $10,000 Blast, 10X Joker’s Jackpot and the Fast 5X.
I think scratch offs make fun prizes because it you win it is literally the gift that keeps on giving. I also love supporting the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. According to the information on their website…
“More than 92 cents of every dollar of Arkansas Scholarship Lottery revenue goes to prizes, scholarships, retailer commissions and other expenses in the state. Since Lottery sales started in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has helped provide nearly $700 million for scholarships to Arkansas students at 51 colleges and universities across the state. More than 235,000 students have been awarded an Academic Challenge Scholarship. Players have won nearly $2 billion in prizes and Lottery retailers have earned more than $178 million in commissions.”
…and that it truly something I can stand behind. I love that just by me purchasing a few lottery tickets I have helped to provide a scholarship for a college student who really needs it. As a recent college graduate, again…HA, I can really appreciate this. Thank you Arkansas Scholarship Lottery for giving back to students and for sponsoring this blog post!!
And that is how I would host a Girl’s Game Night In!!
Do you love game nights??
What is your favorite board game??
Do you play the lottery or purchase scratch off tickets??

What a fun Girls Night! I wish I had thought of this when I was younger. Oh well, board games know no age. I can still organize something like this for my girl cousins and sisters. :) My favorite board game is Clue and Scrabble.

Scrabble is probably my favorite board game and it’s so much fun playing with the girls. All the delish treats and goody bags are a great addition to girls game night. Looks like a fun party!

My hubby’s family love playing board games and his brother even keeps a list of winners. Our grandchildren always enjoy board game night with the family. Clue is their favorite and now they are all old enough to enjoy it. We will clear the table after Thanksgiving dinner and the competition begins.

I love your Girls’ Game Night In theme! My favorite game is Scattergories (though I haven’t played that in ages) – it’s so much fun seeing the different answers people come up with for each letter.
The scratch off tickets fit in with your party theme perfectly! It’s great that even if you lose, someone wins via the scholarship fund — that’s a fantastic benefit. I like to include scratch-offs when I mail out birthday or holiday cards, and to put in Christmas stockings. I’ll be keeping your party favor idea in mind as well :)
