Taste of Home Cooking School Stuttgart!

This post contains affiliate links.

Last week I talked about my trip to Stuttgart Arkansas to tour Riceland and a big part of that trip was getting to attend the Taste of Home Cooking School. If you don’t know, the Taste of Home Cooking School is a live cooking demonstration done by one of the Taste of Cooking chefs! Not only do you get a cooking demo of  bunch of fabulous recipes but you also get tons of cooking tips and tricks that you can use in your kitchen. How cool is that?

Before the Taste of Home Cooking School there was a vendor fair and Riceland was a big part of that! I got the opportunity to work in the booth and tell people all about Riceland’s newest products, the Rice’NEasy products, Rice Bran Oil, and Boil in a Bag Rice. I had a blast getting to talk to so many different people!

I got to wear this cool apron and drink yummy coffee that was made by a yummy local coffee shop called Double Shots. They grind and brew there own beans so you better believe it when I tell you it’s delicious!

After the vendor fair we went to a VIP party where we got to meet the our Taste of Home chef for the evening, Jamie! She was so funny and very personable and she signed my cookbook!!

I loved getting to meet her and hear about how much she loved Riceland Rice, she even used the Saffron Rice’NEasy mix during her Creole Rice Cakes recipe!

Jamie made a total of six yummy recipes during our Taste of Cooking School and I learned a LOT from her! One of my favorite tips was to keep your cling/saran wrap in the freezer that way it doesn’t get all tangled up on itself when you try and use it. How genius is that?

If you ever get the chance to attend a Taste of Home Cooking School then I would highly recommend it. Thank you Riceland for giving me the chance to attend!!

Have you ever attended a Taste of Home Cooking School??
What was the best kitchen tip you have ever received??

Taste of Home was one of the few magazines that I enjoyed reading on a daily basis- I also look for the holiday specials. Of course, I couldn’t do it on an empty stomach because then I’d want to cook everything.

I’ve never been to cooking school before but this sounds really cool. I love the saran wrap tip, I get so frustrated with it I end up balling it up and tossing it in the trash.
