Hello Monday

Hello Monday…

116586-Hello-Monday

First of all can we just take a moment and say a HUGE #TeamUSA cheer right now because the USA is kicking some major butt in Rio right now!! If you follow me on any social media then you know I am a women’s gymnastics fanatic and I was so freaking pumped when USA brought home GOLD in the team event and Simone and Ally placed GOLD and SILVER respectively in the Individual All Around!! And then Simone did it again when she brought home GOLD in the Vault final and Madison snagged a SILVER in uneven bars!! We are literally killing it in women’s gymnastics!! I can’t wait for the Floor and Beam finals, I fully expect USA to medal in those events as well.

I also can’t believe the way Michael Phelps is performing and I just love watching his family cheer him on from the stands…baby Boomer is to-die-for cute!! And Katie Ledecky?? Whoa. Homegirl will definitely be around for a long time to come and I can’t wait to see her swim more!!! #Rio2016 #TeamUSA #Olympics2016

I don’t know about the weather in your part of the country but in Arkansas it has rained for about a week straight. Ugh. Although I can’t really complain about it because that means the temperature has been dropping and it actually felt like fall all day yesterday!!! I even had to break out a jacket to wear at work. I can’t wait for fall and all of it’s pumpkin goodness!!

Remember right before Christmas when I talked about my Varicose Veins? Well, I finally have my follow up appointment today. I had to wear those terrible compression socks for a few months and then I got busy with school and summer and now I finally got it together enough to make an appointment. HA! I can’t wait to meet with my surgeon and get a gam plan together!!

I am rewatching Gilmore Girls from the beginning. I am on season three and I can’t believe how much of it I still remember. I, along with about half of my Facebook friends, cannot wait to see the new Gilmore Girls Revival show (their words, not mine) coming to Netflix in a few months (November 25!!)!! Apparently it will be divided into four 1.5 hour long segments…winter, spring, summer, and fall…and will pick up wherer the show would be now. I am soooo excited…dare I say even Full House level excited?? If you are a GG fan like me then check out the press release here.

Speaking of Netflix, in addition to GG I am also watching Peaky Blinders (1920’s gangster show) and Stranger Things is also on my list to watch! Have you seen either of those??

Book wise I just finished Mary Kay Andrew’s The Weekenders and it did not disappoint!! MKA definitely knows how to throw down some southern chick lit and I can’t wait to read more of her earlier stuff!!

I am going to Ohio later this week and most of next week so I will not be post in ton here as much but I will definitely be on my SnapChat (riccialexis83), Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter if you want to follow along and see what craziness I get myself into!

Have you been watching the Olympics??
Are you as pumped about the Gilmore Girls Revival show as I am??

It’s been raining almost every day down here in Florida as well. Over the years, I’ve grown to love a good rainy day or two, but dang it! I need some sunshine in my life. I was watching GG yesterday, but haven’t restarted the entire show (though that sounds like a good idea!). And STRANGER THINGS IS FANTASTIC! We binge-watched that sucker in 2 days & we’ve already re-watched it all again.

I’m so glad to hear you’ve got a follow up on your veins! I have a friend with horrible vericose veins. They are SO painful for her.

We most definitely have a lot in common….we have been obsessed with the Olympics in our house, especially swimming. And I love all of Mary Kay Andrews’ books, especially “The Weekenders!”

I haven’t been watching the Olympics, but I have been watching some shows on Netflix when I can find the time. So far, I’ve only watched a couple of episodes of Stranger Things. I’m looking forward to watching more when I’m not so busy.

Haven’t watched any of the Olympics live, but have been following along with the highlights online. Been a lot more active outside this summer than I have been so I don’t feel bad about it.

I haven’t really watched must of the Olymics at all. I see it here and there when I flip through channels. I guess I’m not really that in to it. I do like watching the gymnastics though.

I was never a big Gilmore Girls fan the first time around but now that my daughter is 14, I think this is something that we can watch and get in to together. I love the idea of a strong, enduring mother/daughter relationship as the main characters!

Stranger Things is a must! My son and I watched it in two sitting. I was a young kid in the 80s, and it was definitely nostalgic.

I’ve been watching the recaps of the Olympics online. Gymnastics is my favorite! I’m always amazed at the divers though. I’d be scared I was going to hit my head.

Also, this rain can stop any day now. I need to mow my lawn!
