Welcome to another edition of Friday Five! Today I just have a few random things to share with you but they are fun things, I promise!!
ONE. Rebekah and I went to Trios a few weeks ago and I can NOT quit thinking about this yummy food!! I got a Little Red Corvette to drink (Rocktown Muscadine Shine, El Guapo tonic, lemon, soda), we split the Spicy Spinach Dip as an appetizer, and then I got the Corn Cakes and the Shrimp Creole off the summer menu for my entree. I can honestly say that those green beans just may have been my favorite part of the whole thing.
TWO. I think it’s safe to say that I am a little bit obsessed with statement necklaces. LOL!! A few weeks ago I was cleaning out my closet and got rid of a ton of jewelry I never wear and cut my collection basically in half. I need to figure out some organization but for now this towel bar in my bathroom works. I’m also the type of person that I have to see something in order to use it and so seeing all of these will make me wear more than the one or two I keep in rotation.
THREE. I am redoing my bedroom!! I am pretty happy with how my house is decorated, although it’s still a work in progress, but I never really did anything with my bedroom! So in order to celebrate 5 years in my house (this month!!!) I upgraded my bed to a king size, sold all of my bedroom furniture, bought this fabulous headboard, and found a dresser, mirror, and nightstand on Facebook I am going to paint. I can’t wait to see the finished room!!
FOUR. I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I went out of town earlier in the week but before I went I had a Dr appointment to get my yearly physical. Ugh. I hate that appointment. Being a girl sucks sometimes but at least my Dr upgraded to these fancy plaid gowns?? HAHAHA!!
FIVE. One of the places I went on my mini road trip was ElDorado Arkansas. ElDo, as I affectionately call it, is a tiny town in the southwest part of the state not too far from where I grew up. ElDo is home to one of the fanciest, oldest movie theaters, the Rialto. I went on one of my very first dates ever there. The guy didn’t last but my love of that theater did. We saw 40 Days and 40 Nights if that tells you anything about how long ago that was. HA! I seriously loved that theater and was so glad to see it being renovated. I can only hope they restore it to what it was!!
That’s it for my Friday Five!!
What are you most excited about for this weekend??
Heather @ Country Life, City Wife says
ElDorado! I will have to check it out. Since moving to Northwest Arkansas I am trying to learn all the little towns here along with the geography. And seriously, I hate the annual doc visit, too – but girl, I commend you for doing it. So many women skip it. As a cancer survivor, I am high fiving you for preventive care!
Heather says
I hope your bedroom turns out to be just the way you want it. I will be selling all my bedroom furniture soon and also upgrading to a king size bed. My husband and I currently share a queen, and it’s way too small.

I want to see your bedroom redo when you’ve completed it. I want to do mine but I am lacking in inspiration and ideas. Fun five Friday!

Redoing a room in the house is so much fun.I can’t wait to see what you come up with for your bedroom. I totally relate to not looking forward to doctor’s appointments.

Statement necklaces are my favorite! And I love the headboard–we still do not have a headboard for our bed and we’ve been living here for 4 years ahaha

I love getting to redecorate rooms in my house. Redecorating your bedroom should be fun. Sounds like Trios has good food.

I always want to redecorate but then I get caught up and think of all the work. I like these ideas.

The food looks great indeed. It’s always surprising what you find in your closet! That’s a lot of accessories right there. I hope everything goes well in terms of renovating your room! I’m glad you’re able to find all the furniture that you need to make it happen.

These are all great Friday fives. The green beans look delicious. I wish I had half that necklaces you do. I love the new headboard. The gown does look better than some I have seen. Finally I love old there theater and think it is awesome you can check the progress on line.
