Summer 2016 Goals

This post contains affiliate links.

I feel like it’s officially time to make my Summer 2016 bucket list. Also known as my “goals” for the summer. I always make a list and sometimes I complete everything and sometimes only a few things but either way it’s just fun to make a list. HA!! #TypeA #OCD

summer2016goals

ONE. Go one place I have never been before. I covered a lot of places I had never been before last summer and even though I won’t be taking a big trip like that again any time soon I do have a couple weekend trips planned that should be pretty interesting!

TWO. Learn how to use my DSLR camera. I have actually made this a goal a few times before but this time I really mean it. I want to get more comfortable using it and start upping my photography game.

THREE. Hit 10,000 Twitter followers. I have been on a roll with Twitter lately and so I made it a personal goal to hit 10,000 followers before summer is over. I don’t know about you but sometimes I overwhelm myself trying to be good at everything at the same time when really I should stick to focusing on one thing at a time. I feel like for the past couple of years I have been trying to grow ALL of my social media channels and have somewhat succeeded but I recently took a step back and realized that if I concentrated on just one at a time I would have better success. So for the next couple of months I am going to focus on my Twitter following! If you aren’t already, please follow me and help a sister out!

FOUR. Do one thing that really scares me. As much s I try to put on a brave face I am actually scared of a lot of things….heights, public speaking, commitment, making bug life decisions, etc. I feel like I am at a point in life where I just really need to put myself out there are get over myself. Know what I mean??

FIVE. Get my Google Analytics Certification. This is something I have been looking into and wanting to do for a long time but you know, school. Ugh. So now that that’s finished I want to get my certification. I love numbers and am obsessed with analytics and am always wanting to learn more so I think this is perfect for me!

SIX. Get outside! When I am at work I am inside literally all day long. 12.5 hours is a long time to be stuck indoors so on my days off I want to get outdoors! I want to go to the pool, my local waterpark, take my Sophie girl on long walks at the park, and just sit on the back porch and chill. I also want to get some fun lights to string up outside to make it more cozy!

SEVEN. Eat a snow cone. I always have the best intentions of going out an grabbing a yummy snow cone but then I somehow always get sidetracked…I fully blame Target. And Starbucks. And McDonald’s Frappes. And the list goes on and on.

EIGHT. Go berry picking. There are tons of local farms around and I have not been to a single one and I have zero excuses. I have also never been to my local farmer’s market. I would use the excise that I have been working weekends for the past year but that only covers the past year. What about all the years before? At this point in my list making I am really questioning what exactly I have done with all of my free time. HAHAHA!

NINE. Learn how to use iMovie on my Mac. It’s on there so why not?? I hate wasting free things.

TEN. Go to Painting with a Twist. I have literally always wanted to go to one of these classes and have never been. Ugh. I really need to get out more.

So that’s my list of summer goals. I hope I complete most of them!!

What are your summer goals??
Do you love to make lists??

Your goals are reasonable enough and easily attainable. Wishing you all the best in reaching these goals. I would also love to get 10K followers on Twitter.

I love the idea of doing something that scares you. I am trying to do adventures that push me a couple times a year. Such a great feeling when done.

These items aren’t on my bucket list but I think our lists look about the same. I definitely need to work on that GA analytics. Thanks for the reminder. – Yolo

Love these goals! I’ve been slowly learning how to use my DSLR camera this year–it’s so easy to spend hours on YouTube learning about them! I want a snow cone–but a WINE one. Have you seen those? YUM!
