I am currently…
..watching Game of Thrones. One word. Hodor. WHY??????? Yes, I’m still catching up on the series so no spoilers please!!
…reading a Nora Roberts series, The Inn Boonsboro Trilogy. It’s about a small town in Maryland and is a fantastic thriller/romance series that is an easy read but will keep you wanting more, exactly how I like a series. And then I just discovered the inn is real!!! Must plan a trip there soon…
…loving the time I got to spend with my family this past weekend. My sister, cousin and their families were camping a couple hours from my house this past weekend so I went up for the day on Saturday. We had so much fun!! I swam in the stream, ate watermelon while sitting in the icy cold water, roasted hot dogs over a campfire, braided all of the little girls hair, and (most importantly) had FUN! It was good to go off the grid for a day.
...drinking a pink drink from Starbucks!! I blogged about it the other day and it is still my favorite summertime treat.
…listening to a lot of Queen lately. I have a Frozen inspired Pandora station (don’t even ask) that plays everything from Disney songs, rap music, Broadway hits, 80’s hair bands, and, of course, Queen.
…wishing I could go to the beach. I have a few trips scheduled this summer but not one of them is to the beach. I must remedy this next summer.
…eating all the bad things, HA!! But really though…after we made hot dogs over the campfire the other night we stuffed waffle cones with marshmallows and chocolate and wrapped them in foil and put them over the fire as well. What we got were these wonderful s’mores inspired cones!! DELISH!!
…loving my sweet Sophie girl!!! I love my sweet pup and can’t ver imagine doing life without her by my side. She is a champion napper, a beggar of treats, and loves nothing more that to sit on the back porch on my lap and watch the bunnies run through the backyard.
…looking forward to the Fourth of July!! My entire family is going to my parents lake house to shoot fireworks and hang. I can’t wait!!!!
What have you been up to lately??
Do you have big plans for the Fourth??
The s’mores inspired cone looks so yummy! That’s my kind of camping – spending the day with friends and family and going back home to my comfy bed at night.
We love to visit state parks to hike!! Looks like your June is full of a lot of good times and adventures!
Love those campfire treats!!! I hope you get to the beach there is nothing as relaxing as listening to the ocean!
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend with family and just on your own. I always like having some time to myself and having some time with family too. Looks like you have the best of both worlds! That’s S’mores thing I need right now!!
I keep seeing the pink drink from Starbucks and I want to try it. I’m traveling the next few days so if I’m near a Starbucks I’ll have to pop in.
Glad you had fun on your family trip!!! Sometimes it’s great to unplug and just relax with friends and family! I’m due for one of those trips soon!
Oh looks you have a lot going on currently, love national forests! Nature is so peaceful!
What a great summer so far! I’m interested in the book series now because I need new books for my summer by the pool!
I like this post. It’s a great recap of various updates. That dessert looks soooo decadently delicious. I’d love to try it! I’m also looking forward to Fourth of July!
You should definitely try to get to the beach if you can. I’m looking forward to the fourth too! I’m not sure if we have anything planned.
I wish I could get into Game of Thrones. It’s just really not my thing, sadly. I think my husband would LOVE to watch it though so I’m thinking I should suck it up for him!
It’s nice that you were able to spend some time with your relatives and had fun. The roasted barbecue must have been really tasty.
I just had 2 major surgeries a few weeks ago and still in recovery mode. My kids and I have been spending our summer at home and reading :)
It sounds like you all had a wonderful time together. I listen to Pandora radio on the computer just because they have a great selection. The waffle cone smores sound amazing and I will have to try that for sure. Thanks for sharing your wonderful weekend.
Your summer sounds like it is going great so far! I love Nora Roberts novels.
I’m hoping the kids get to see fireworks this July. With their dad’s schedule we might not be able to go out. They still show it on TV right lol.
I’ll try these desserts for sure! Happy travels!
I really want to try that variation on Smores this summer … it looks much less messy than the traditional kind! And I haven’t been to Starbucks yet, but I’m dying to try out that #PinkDrink!
I have not done a currently’s post for a while, but loved reading yours and looks like I need to get onto the games of throne bad wagon now
