Mondays Got Me Like…

mondays

Most people hate Mondays. Me? I love them! Since I have been back in school I have been working weekends (Fri-Sun) at the hospital and so for me Mondays are my Saturdays except they are even better because most everyone else is at work and I can still make doctor/dentist appointments on Mondays. I call that a WIN/WIN in my book.

On this particular Monday I slept in because there was a huge storm and I don’t know about you but rain makes me sleep so so so good!! When I finally got up I had to run to pick up my new glasses, drop off a package at the post office, and pay my water bill. Now I’m back home snuggled up on the couch with my Sophie girl. I love lazy days like these.

I really need to be working on some school stuff but I have senioritis so bad!! I will be officially finished with my second bachelor’s degree one month from today and I have zero motivation to do any work right now. Gah…

I can’t wait to be finished with this degree and everyone keeps asking me what I’m going to do when I graduate. I have a few ideas but for the time begging I will continue to work at the hospital. I really do love my job and we have had so many changes at work lately that I feel like I need to stay. Plus like I said, I love it! I can’t really complain about only working three days a week and getting amazing benefits.

One thing I know I will be doing more of when I graduate is traveling!! I have two weekend trips in the works and I really want to go to the beach this summer!! And Chicago. And Seattle. And Charleston. And London. Sooooo many places to go!! I really need to start saving my money!!

Off topic- is there even a topic to this post?? I really want to grow my hair out. I have kept it short for the past year but now I’m ready for it to grow! If anyone has any tips or tricks for growing out hair please let me know!

Also- has anyone tried oil pulling? I really want to but sometimes textures freak me out and the thought of putting coconut oil in my mouth makes me want to gag. Ugh.

I feel like I’m staring to ramble so I better stop while I’m ahead. GAH!

Do you like Mondays?

My hair gets to a certain length and stops. It’s so weird. It’s long (half way down my back), but I wish it were even longer.

I love the random topics! My “lazy” thoughtful days are almost always like that . Time to think over all the aspects of life that aren’t thought about as we go the the routine of everyday life.

I haven’t tried oil pulling. Not sure I could perform the swishing motion for 20 minutes. I also love being all snuggled up in bed on the couch on a raining day. It’s so comforting.

I love work weeks like that, when you get to spend some time at home while everyone is just starting at work. Rain makes me super relaxed as well, and it will definitely help you sleep better. I love that you’re traveling after you finish school! Enjoy while you can!

    Hi Ricci,

Mondays don’t make me feel moody or anything like that, so I understand where you are coming from. Also rain is a natural stress reliever and that’s why you get better sleep! I totally loved your post!

I do enjoy Mondays. I like organizing the week on Mondays, and being productive. Sets the tone for the rest of the week.
