Weekend Things + #PrayForParis

This post contains affiliate links.

First things first…I don’t know why but the Friday night bombings in Paris really got to me. I haven’t been able to quit thinking and praying about the whole situation and all of the people involved. There was absolutely no reason for all of that loss and destruction, no reason at all. So please, #PrayForParis

#PrayForParis

Now onto the good news from this past weekend!! I have to admit that after a couple of really bad losses I haven’t been watching much Razorback football this season. However this past weekend we played our biggest rival, LSU (Louisiana State University) for The Boot and at Death Valley (Tiger Stadium) and the Razorbacks pulled out a big ole W!! And they didn’t just win, they stomped LSU into the ground. Their fans started leaving at half time and you better bet we brought that boot back to Arkansas with us!! #WPS

Another huge win this past weekend came from the UFC 193 fight . Now before I go any further, I will say that I am not a UFC fan, in fact watching fights makes me sick to my stomach. When I got to work Sunday everyone was talking about this cray fight and it sparked my interest so I watched it. It wasn’t too bloody or bad but Ronda Rousey, the champ, got knocked out. I am all about cheering for the underdog and especially after watching the weigh in and Rousey totally went off on Holly Holm. I am glad Holm took her down and is the new champ. I amy even watch the next fight between the two, because you know there will be another!! Congrats #HollyHolm on your huge WIN!!!

RVH

This weekend was also one of my very best friend’s birthday!! Happy Birthday to my road trip bestie, my sorority sister, and the person who was by my side through my crazy college days and beyond!! I am so glad we are best friends even if we live so far away from each other!! #HappyBirthdayLibby

Last night I posted this pic on Instagram and I am super pumped about it. Yes, it is a big pile of sautéed veggies and that’s kind of weird but now I have plenty to work with this week and I can’t wait to share some yummy recipes with you soon!! YUM!!

So that was my weekend in a nutshell…#PrayForParis #WPS #RouseyVsHolm #HappyBirthdayLibby and veggies and recipes!!

How was your weekend??

I am just sick over what happened in Paris. I don’t understand why terrorists can’t just go be miserable in a cave somewhere and leave everyone alone.

Sounds like a perfect weekend with your friend. Mine lives out of state so when we do get together we try to celebrate everything all at once. Paris bombs broke my heart and I hope that they can start to heal and get back on their feet quickly.

The Paris bombings were so devastating. What a terrible thing to happen. And the Rousey/Holm fight was great and surprising at the same time!

It’s sickening what people will do to one another. I can’t believe that anyone thinks anything can be accomplished by slaughtering innocent people.

The Paris ordeal really got to me too, and to alot of my friends. I wish craziness like that was non-existent. I know it’s not going to happen, but a girl can dream!

Yes, we all need to pray for Paris and for the rest of the world. This place is not getting any safer with terrorists roaming around. I also watched the UFC fight and heard many are upset with the result.

Still not a Holly Holm fan…I’m definitely behind Ronda all the way. She’ll come back and end up on top I’m sure of it and I can’t wait for the re-match!

I hear ya on the Paris thing, although it is heavy on my mind I also worry about the future attacks that are planned for our country as well. This is a scary time in the world and unfortunately I have a feeling it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
