Hello Friday

This post contains affiliate links.

hellofriday

Happy Friday!! I don’t have anything specific to talk about today but I don want to catch you up on what I have been up to lately…it’s fun stuff I promise!

I got my hair cut a few weeks ago. I was in bad need of a trim and a root touch up! I am a natural brunette and have a few very sparkly silver/gray hairs that need to occasional cover up. The summer sun bleaches my hair out so bad and when my roots grow in they look super dark. SO it was really just an appointment to refresh my dark and trim up my ends. The last time I went for a cut I did a long angled bob and I am still loving it so I went with that again. I love that it keeps the weight of my neck but still looks longer in the front.

Speaking of hair, my Chi blow dryer died a horrific death after over four years of use a few weeks ago and instead of replacing it right away because #expensive I bought a little cheapie from WalMart to get me through. That poor dryer sucks royally and takes forever to dry my hair and so I sucked it up and went to Ulta the other night and found this beauty. Now in my defense I only went in for that eye pencil sharpener but came out with all that other stuff. Why? Because it was all on sale and I needed it. Sorta. That’s my story anyway…

Last week I met my bestie Rebekah for dinner and finally got to catch up with her!! I haven’t seen her in forever and we met for an early dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille in Little Rock. It just opened at the Promenade off Chenal and was amazing!! I got the Lump Crab Cake with cajun sauce to start and a Medium Well Grille Burger with Truffle Mac & Cheese for my main course. I couldn’t finish the mac & cheese but damn it was delicious. If you have one on your area I would highly recommend you go!!

I got my sec on Birchbox in the mail this week and I can’t wait to show you all of my fabulous goodies!! I got some really good stuff this time. Also- can we just take a minute to appreciate how pretty this box is? Love it!!

This past week I also went to Hot Springs one morning and walked the Grand Promenade. I picked the perfect fall morning and my walk was truly gorgeous!! I need to go again and walk some of the other trails and bring my Sophie with me, she would have really enjoyed it!

I have one of those hair dryers, and I love it. Ceramic is really the best way to go.

Love the haircut and love CHI products. Yes, they cost a bit of money, but they are worth it. Enjoy your weekend!

You got some good stuff! And your hair looks good! My hair is the same way. I always am dying it dark and it fades in the sun. I think i need some better shampoo.

Del Frisco’s was SO good. Everyone should try it. I’m also super glad you got your hair dryer issue taken care of so I don’t have to worry about that anymore! :) HAHA

I love seafood and I’m drooling over that Lump Crab Cake. I will have to check if we have the restaurant here in the city. Yum!

My hair dryer died last night too. I don’t use it a ton. I usually let my hair air dry. We did use it on the dogs though so I’ll have to replace it. I’m going to get a cheap ionic one.

I love your new haircut. I need to trim mine.

love your new cut and color. I just colored my hair but went with a warm red tone instead of brown. I’ve been thinking about getting a better blow dryer too. Think this might be the winner.

Your hair looks beautiful! I’m so sorry to hear about your blow dyer. I always hate when that happens to me, because those cheaper hair tools never provide the same quality.

The Chi dryers are really great at drying thick hair really fast, only takes me about 5 minutes to dry mine!

I should have done that cut. I’m going to grow it out though. I miss my asymmetrical long bob. lol. Pretty hair! The sun does the oddest thing to mine also. I usually dye my hair dark auburn now. well, I was born a gingah! I had red hair as a child then it turned brown with very very slight red glints. I’ve been dying it red every once in a bit red, ever since college. Now i’m stuck to dark auburn. The thing is I’ve even dyed it a dark brown on occasion to get it back to my natural root color. but once the dye is grown out or growing out. it fades because of the sun to a light reddish brown. but my roots are still brown. So it looks like I need my roots touched up. Even when I dyed it dark brown it turned this reddish brown. so weird. I guess my hair is turning back to red by itself now? lol oh well. As long as it looks good is what I worry about. That del frisco’s looks like some good eatin’s. My hubby and I must try that place next time we can make it to little rock! Lovin’ your blog look. You like to change it up a bit seems like. I get tired of same ol’ same ol’ sometimes also. Great Post!!!
