Dear Pink Kitchenaid Mixer…

This post contains affiliate links.

Dear Pink Kitchenaid Mixer,

Thank you for being there for me. You know we don’t do Christmas presents for adults in my family so when I found you on super sale at Target I knew we were meant to be. You were my Christmas present to myself this year and for that I am thankful.

I plan on us making tons of yummy things together in the future. So far we have shredded some amazing crockpot chicken and made the best chocolate chip cookie dough. Yes, just the dough because that’s where it’s at (don’t worry, I didn’t put any eggs in it).

You are a gorgeous thing sitting on my kitchen cabinet so proud. You know what? I almost didn’t get you. When I truly made up my mind to buy you I almost picked another color. I always thought that a Kitchenaid mixer would make the perfect wedding present and that was something I would get one day as a gift. So I never bought one. I waited and waited and I lusted after the gorgeousness that is currently taking up residence on my kitchen counter.

Thank goodness I finally decided that I didn’t have to wait until I got married to get a Kitchenaid mixer. I mean I didn’t wait to buy a house so why would I wait on a mixer? I even got a Flamingo Pink one just because I could.

Flamingo Pink. That is the exact shade of your pink and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I love pink. Some of my friends thought I was crazy to buy a pink mixer and even I had to think long and hard about it. I almost went with a silver or navy blue. But those are boring and you and I mixer? We are the exact opposite of boring.

Some people asked me what man would want a pink mixer on the counter? Well the good news is that a man doesn’t live at my house and I make the decisions around this joint. If I want a pink mixer then I shall have a pink mixer. And one day, should I get married, then man that loves me will know that I love me and have to accept me and my Flamingo Pink mixer as a package deal.

You know what mixer? (I should really give you a name and quit calling you “mixer”) I am so glad I finally decided to quit putting my life on hold and quit waiting to do things “when I get married some day”. What if it never happens and I miss out on tons of things because I was waiting? I would have been so disappointed in myself. I am so glad I bought you and I am so glad you are Flamingo Pink.

So here’s to 2015 being the year I stop putting things on hold and start doing things because I can and I don’t want to miss out. Pink mixer, you and I shall rock this year.

This is like a letter I wrote myself but I got Red. Target only had two color options.. I’d love to have gotten turquoise, but I do love my Red mixer.. It makes me smile.

I always wanted one for the pasta maker attachment, just realized I could get a counter top pasta thing for way cheaper haha. Still want the kitchenaid though! Love that color.

I have a white one that I got when I got married and I love it, but I really want a fun color like turquoise! I kept hoping it’ll die so I can get another one otherwise I can’t justify it :)

I have a baby pink Kitchen Aid mixer. I love the color of your mixer too. My mixer is the only pink appliance in my kitchen and I don’t care if it doesn’t match.
I think it’s great you didn’t wait on buying a house or getting married to buy one. I know you will enjoy your mixer. Have fun and make lots of yummy treats!

Aw, thank you for writing this. I LOVE IT. I personally do not own this particular machine, but I enjoyed your reason for it. So it’s totally well worth it in my opinion like you mention making lots of yummy things with is.

I love the color. I don’t have one, and I think I need one. I need to invest in a better blender, too. I’ve been making smoothies like crazy.
