WILW: Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

WILW

Happy Hump Day!! I haven’t done a What I’m Loving Wednesday post in a while so today I’m back with some new mascara I am in love with!!

US-1017-00-alt1

Have you heard of Younique makeup? I hadn’t until recently. It’s like Avon and Mary Kay in that you have to buy it from a presentor and not in a store. I noticed Younique’s 3D Fiber Lashes when my Facebook wall started blowing up with people buying, selling, and using it. It was kind of like Plexus…LOL! Younique actually carries a full line of makeup but the only think I have used is the mascara.

I have been in a mascara slump lately. I have been using Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and when it ran out I tried to find a cheaper version of it and failed. I tried my old stand by Loreal, two different NYX mascaras, and Loreal’s Butterfly mascara before I threw the towel in. I was about ready to head to Ulta and buy some more Better Than Sex when I started seeing the Younique mascara everywhere. When I saw a girl I work with had started selling it I was sold!

It is kind of expensive at $32 (tax included) for a set, but I justified the cost by all of the cheap mascara I bought trying to find something that I loved. I should have known not to go cheap and just buy the expensive product and not waste that money! I learned that lesson in college trying to find a cheap hair straightener and went through about 5 before I broke down and bought a Chi. Best investment I ever made. Stepping off my soap box now…

So I bought the Younique mascara at work and decided to experiment with it before I actually wore it out of the house! The system can be a little tricky at first but once you play around with it you will love it just like I do!!

Here’s how you put it on…remember to do one eye at a time so you don’t smear it around!! Learned that the heard way!

Totally bare lashes to start with…

ONE. Put on one coat of your regular mascara and let it dry.

My right, your left

TWO. Put on one coat of the transplanting gel. If you need to separate your lashes do so now.

photo 3

THREE. Put on one coat of fibers. I start mid-lash and go up. I don’t go all the way down to my lash-line because the fibers will sometimes get into your eyes and then your eyes will water all day. Again, learned that the hard way!

FOUR. Wait 5 seconds and finish with another coat of transplanting gel. DONE SON!!

You can always repeat this process until you get your lashes as thick as you want but I have only ever done one coat and am very satisfied with that!

One important tip I can give you with this mascara is that when you take it iff use coconut oil!! It’s the only thing I have found that really work to completely take it off!! The first time I washed my face with regular face wash I wound up smearing it from my hair line to my chin. Talk about scary!! LOL!!

Anyway, overall I am in LOVE with this mascara and would encourage you to buy it if you are in the market for some new mascara!! LOVE!!

Have you tried Younique’s Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes??

I used to have the most beautiful full and naturally long lashes. Over the years they have thinned out and it makes me so sad. I want to try this! maybe it will bring back my full lashes I miss so much!

Is this safe for contacts? I have heard of a lot of people scratching their cornea with fiber mascaras and it terrifies me. I’ve seen this all over the beauty world, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. Your lashes do look incredible though!!!
