How to Make Money Blogging Part One

This post contains affiliate links.

I have written this post a thousand times in my head but have yet to actually type it out…LOL!

Recently I have gotten several emails on how to get sponsored posts and how to make money in general through blogging so today I thought I would share my thoughts with you! This will be part one of how to make money blogging because I have soooo much to tell you that I don’t want to overwhelm you all at once! So here is part one…

First of all you need to join some blogging networks!! My personal faves are:

Pollinate Media I have gotten several sponsored posts/product reviews from Pollinate lately. The catch? You have to apply for membership and you have at least 20,000 page views a month to join. The good news? Pollinate just launches a sister site, Weave Media for those with less than 20,000 page views a month or bloggers who are new! Pollinate sends out an email every Monday with sponsored posts to apply for. Easy peasy!

Collective Bias/Social Fabric I love working with Collective Bias because they are actually an Arkansas based company! They also have great sponsored posts. Again, this is one you will have to apply for but I love working with them! They have a ton of sponsored posts but you have to log on each day to see what they are and apply for the posts that would be a good fit for your blog.

Linqia Linqia is a relatively new company for me but anyone can join but just know that it may take a while to get a post. I think I joined over a year ago and finally emailed customer service about how to get a post with them and the BOOM I got 3 in a row. They just send a survey every so often and you fill it out and se if you fit the campaign they are working with. While it may take a while to get a post with them their payouts are super quick!

Blog Meets Brand BMB is a pretty new company but I have loved working with them so far. Their customer service is top notch and they are quick to respond if I have a question. BMB emails when they have a sponsored post and you apply in your back office area!

The Sits Girls/Massive Sway Sits Girls was the very first company I signed up with to start making money!! I had no idea what I was even doing then…LOL!! But basically you just sign up for the newsletter and get a Massive Sway account and you are set. They will email about new campaigns and you apply! I have gotten a few campaigns from them and they always pay well!

Clever Girls Collective Now I have never actually gotten a campaign from CGC but I apply all the time! You don’t have to apply for an account here so that’s good but you need to check in frequently for sponsored posts to apply for!

Those are all of my favorite networks for campaigns/sponsored posts. One of the very most important things is that they are going to ask you for numbers. They will want to see how many page views you have and how many unique months views, etc. Sometimes they just want numbers, sometimes, they want actual screenshots. Most will only accept Google Analytics. If you have not set up Google Analytics for your blog please do so right now!! If you have no idea what I am talking about check out this post from Kelley explaining how to do it and this post explaining what it is!

I think I will end here today and hope I have helped you out a little bit!! Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the networks and I will answer as best I can!!

I make most of my money through affiliate marketing programs with my blog but I’m working on doing a bit of sponsored posts from ad networks.

It’s hard when you are really trying to make your blog your “real” job. I know not everyone can do it and I know that it takes a lot of hard work, but for me, sometimes it’s so frustrating trying to keep up a good blog and still being turned down for relationships with companies. I’ll have to try some of the companies you’ve listed above!

    Great great post Ricci!!
I already knew of most of them, but I am so excited that there is Weave – maybe I’ll actually get in that one until my views can pop lol
fyi – you may want to go change surgery to survey in Linqia
