I am devoting todays What I’m Living Wednesday to one of my all time summer time faves…coconut!!
I have loved coconut for as long as I can remember. I have always been a lover of good smelling shampoos and I remember my Mom buying all of the different Suave shampoos and every night after I washed my hair I would make her smell my hair…LOL! My fave was always the coconut.
The smell of coconut always reminds me of sweet, sweet summertime and the beach! I have a ton of different coconut candles, beauty products, and am obsessed with Hawaiian Tropic taming lotion because of the coconutty smell. I love coconut almost as much as I love pumpkin, and we all know how obsessed I am with the smell of pumpkin!!
Here are a few of my very favorite coconut scented products…
I also love anything coconut to eat/drink….coconut pie, Ocean Water Drink from Sonic (sprite and blue coconut), haystacks (a candy my Grandma makes at Christmas with coconut), and my most recent favorite….German Chocolate Brownies!!
This is the second time in a week these brownies have made the blog…I guess you would like the recipe right?
These brownies are super easy to make! They also last a while and travel well so they are perfect to make a day or two before and take them somewhere! They also got rave reviews from my family and co-workers!!
Check out this close up…you better get a tall glass of milk for these babies!!
Guess it’s time to share my “secret recipe”…
Servings |
|
- 1 box Brownie Mix
- 1 can Coconut Pecan Frosting
- 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Pecan Halves
Ingredients
|
|
- Make brownie mix according to package and let cool. I used an 8x8 pan.
- When brownies are cool, ice them with the Coconut Pecan frosting.
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds. They may not look melted after that long but they will be, trust me. Drizzle chocolate all over the top of the frosted brownies.
- Sprinkle pecan halves all over the top of the brownies while chocolate is still warm.
- Enjoy!
Do you like coconut??

I love coconut too! Coconut works wonders and there’s a ton of beauty or healthy rituals you can do with coconut, or recipes! You can add this brownie to that list. Oh yes, let me take a close look of that brownie. I have to try this!

I am drooling over this recipe! I wish I could have as much sweets as I could but I am diabetic and I have to avoid stuff like this! I’m saving this recipe though. I’ll send it to my sister who is the baking guru in the family.
