WILW: Kinky Curly

This post contains affiliate links.

I mentioned earlier in the week that I have been wearing my hair curly/wavy more…it’s naturally that way but I usually straighten it every day. Most people frown at this but you don’t know my hair…it’s thick, and frizzy, and dry. Not cute when it’s “natural”. Until I stumbled on this little beauty a few weeks ago in Target…

kinkycurly

…my WILW post is dedicated to today’s curl saving product: Kinky Curls Spiral Spritz.

First things first, this gel is made to look like a spray gel but it’s not. It’s too thick to spray evenly so it just comes out in streams. It’s better to squirt it in your hand and then put it on your hair.

Also, it’s actually made for african american natural hair but it works miracles on my hair! It’s not heavy or oily, it just really defines my curls and doesn’t make it stiff. I seriously LOVE this stuff!!

I love that instead of getting up at 4:30am every morning to wash, dry, and straighten my hair I can wash it at night and put Kinky Curly on it and wake up with cute curls!!

This post is not a sponsored post, I just really love this product!!

Do you have any “secret weapons” in your hair arsenal??
Do tell!!

I straighten my hair all the time, too, or it would be a hot mess! Also, I have very dry hair so I use two leave in’s – Eva-nyc mane tamer leave in cream and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. Neither weigh my hair down at all and it’s soft, silky and smooth. I sound like I’m doing an ad for hair products! :)

I’ll have to check out kinky curly because I hate all the straightening in the summer time!

I have used their leave-in, but not their spiral spray. I must try it! My favorite line (right now) is Shea Moisture. You may like their products too. I’m glad KC worked on your hair! Sometimes you just have to think outside the box and you’ll find that you have discovered something great!

I have naturally straight hair. There’s no body or volume to speak of. I recently found a texturizer that I love that gives me some volume.

Yep I need a Kinky Curly picture please, so I can believe it works! I normally just mousse my hair after I shower at night and spray with hairspray and wrap my curls in a bun and I’m all good by morning…

OOO I’m going to have to track this down myself! I’ve got curly hair that in the summer is insanely frizzy and I usually just wear it up to deal with it (Virginia humidity and curly hair is basically hell).

By the way – did you know that “RICCI” in Italian means “curly”? So even before I ever read your about page I thought you named your blogs about curly hair! haha
