Last night I was feeling a little creative and made a new Curly Mesh Wreath for spring!!
I was digging through my craft closet the other day and found all of my deco mesh stuck at the back and realized I also had a few wire wreath bases laying around and so my Spring Curly Mesh Wreath idea was born. Honestly, I have had the same wreath on my door since last fall! That’s terrible!! That’s what having no time will do to you I guess…LOL!
Since I was feeling a little frisky I decided to take pics while I made the wreath and share them with you!! I normally don’t give away my wreath secrets but this one is so easy to make I thought I would share the wealth!!
Here’s what you need…deco mesh, a wire wreath form, and some pipe cleaners. That’s it!
Step one is to tie the pipe cleaners on to your wire wreath frame. I tied them at each bracket and in between each on was well.
After you get the pipe cleaners on you are ready to start cutting your mesh. This part takes the longest and is the most boring to me. At this point I turned on Southern Charm and started cutting. I figured that since I had 20 pipe cleaners tied on I needed 10 strips of each color of each different mesh. I had six colors and so I used three different colors per pipe cleaner.
To cut the mesh I just rolled it out until it started to curl on itself and cut it!
When I had my three color cut I would roll them up tight and bunch them up…
…and tie them to a pipe cleaner on my wreath base.
This is what your wreath should look like after you have one bunch tied on.
You just repeat this step until you finish your wreath! It might look like it won;t be full enough when you are about halfway done but don’t worry it will be plenty full and BIG! It gets pretty tight at the end but just keep tying!!
And when you get done you will have a gorgeous Curly Mesh Wreath!!!!
Do you make your own wreaths??

How cute!! I’m a tad bit obsessed with Southern Charm! I really hope that it gets renewed. Cute wreath!! I’ve made my own several times, mostly because I can’t believe how much some of the stores charge for them and they are so simple to make!!

you make it look so darn easy! I will need to pin this and try next year and turn it into a FIESTA wreath!

I love this wreath that you made here. I really want to do the same thing as a topiary tree centerpiece for my son’s wedding. I will be using 4 different colors of the deco mesh with 4 complimentary colored ribbons. After seeing your tutorial I have a better understanding of how to make separate color groups. I think I can do two groups with 2 of each color deco mesh and 2 of each color complementary ribbon. Would you at this point join the 2 bundles together as one, which would end up with all the 4 colors of mesh and ribbon in one bunch. It seems like it would be easier to manage this way.
