I got an email last Monday that literally rocked my world. A reporter from Time Magazine wanted to interview me based on a blog post I wrote about how much I love my NuvaRing last spring. You can check out my post here if you want.
That was actually sponsored post I wrote for the Bedsider website but I am passionate about women’s health so it was a perfect fit for me.
The Time article is called “Women Who Stand By Their NuvaRing” and is about how there is a huge lawsuit against Merck, the makers of NuvaRing because there are health risks against using it such as blood clots and high blood pressure. Honestly if you read the warning label for any medication those two things are listed on there. The chances for most side effects are increased when you smoke or lead a sedentary lifestyle, both of which I do not do.
I was soooo excited for this article to come out and was ecstatic when it was published online, on my birthday!!
Here is my quote…
I am DYING!!!! HA!!!
Thoughts on side effects of any birth control?
ha ha.. that is so awesome!
Way to go with the quote! That’s awesome! You are right, everything carries risks!
Great and good luck with your interview! :)
This is SO COOL! You’re famous now!
That is so awesome! I know you are on a high from Time contacting you. Luckily, my BC days are over…regret having my tubes tied. That would’ve been perfect for me bc I’m so not a pill popper. lol
I’m on NR too, and feel the same way. If you let the warning label scare you off, you’d never take anything ever. I ALWAYS forgot to take my pill, but now I love the ‘set it and forget it’ with the NR. It’s fabulous and I wouldn’t change anything… except the price. Haha!
Wow that is soooo cool! You are inspiration to all us little bloggers :) CONGRATS :)

Congrats on your quote! And all birth control has those same warnings and they get more likely the older we get. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about that anymore – don’t regret having my tubes tied. I have my 2 children and never wanted anymore. :)
I just tried the Nuvaring after using the pills for years and it made me so sick. It was like I had the world’s worst flu and had been kicked in the face by a donkey. I used it years ago and was fine but something in my body didn’t react well to it. I’m now the owner of a 10 year Paragard!
That is awesome! We actually just moved from Conway Arkansas!! On topic -I will deal with a pill – I just fine it less invasive. Plus I want one more, so it it happens ha, it does!
