One of my friends is about to get engaged…she and her boyfriend have been talking about it forever. I think it’s awesome because they have been dating for a few years now and it’s just time. Last week they went ring shopping together and they saw so many rings that she got overwhelmed and couldn’t decide on anything….so her super sweet boyfriend told her to go ring shopping with me and see if we could find anything.
We went to the cutest little boutique jeweler in central Arkansas and saw some amazing rings. I have always been a fan of the solitaire while she wants something with a halo and tons of diamonds. After being there for two hours she found two gorgeous rings. One of them is a solitaire with a radiant cut diamond which I just adore.
Let me tell you something, I learned a lot about engagement rings yesterday. I never knew there were so many different cuts or setting or anything…I was an engagement ring newbie. Let me also tell you that going engagement ring shopping with a friend the day before Valentine’s Day while all of these reeeeeally cute guys are coming in and picking up presents for their girlfriends was probably not the best thing I could have done. The whole experience just reminded me that I am 31 and still single with not a prospect in sight. Sigh…
Don’t get wrong, I am still super excited for her, I’m just s little down today. Luckily I plan on keeping so busy today that I won’t really have time to think about it. I am working today and after work I am going to Target to find a birthday present for my niece and then I’m headed home to crash on the couch with my Sophie puppy.
The one Valentine’s Day treat I do plan on indulging in are a couple of Reese’s Hearts!! Is it just me or do the shapes taste better than regular Reese’s??

I totally understand, Ricci. Tonight, I went to a bridal salon with one of my friends to pick up her wedding shoes and look at some jewelry. And I looked around at all the dresses and realized I’m 33 and have no idea if I’ll ever get to wear one of those dresses. It made me a little sad.
