What I’m Loving Wednesday: Eyeshadow Primer

Today I am going to talk to you about a new love of mine…eyeshadow primer!! And not just any primer, Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer.

sinUD

I first fell in love a couple years ago when I bought the original Naked Palette and I got a full tube of the Original Eyeshadow Primer for free! I used it off and on but especially during the summer months. I don’t know about you but when it’s 90* plus outside my eye makeup tends to just slide down my face. This helps keep everything where it’s supposed to be. Kind of like your bra….that’s what she said.

I used the original up and never bought another one. I had a few samples from other brands that I used but none compared to UD. Then came the glorious day I bought my Naked 3 Palette and I discovered that I got samples of ALL of the UD Eyeshadow Primers!!

UDPrimer

My favorite of my samples has got to be the Sin Primer. It’s perfectly shimmery and stays PUT. Notice I said shimmer ladies, not glitter. There IS a difference. Women wear shimmer, 12 year old girls wear glitter. {steps off soapbox}  I think it looks fabulous by itself and even better with the Mugshot UD Eyeshadow from the Naked 3 Palette. I really tried to take a pic of it on my eyes butI could never get the lighting right…stupid iPhone camera. Instead I took a shot on the back of my hand. have you ever tried to take a pic of makeup on your hand? Can we say awkward?

handshimmer

Gorgeous right? Even in my awkward hand shot? I seriously LOVE it!!

I just put it on, give it a minute to set, and either wear it alone or put some Mugshot on from the crease of my eye down to my lash line and then add my eyeliner and mascara. This primer has a creamy texture which I just love.

One of the best things I love about this primer is that a little bit goes a loooong way. I have been using this sample for about 2 weeks now and still have a ton left. I will definitely be buying this when I run out!!

Do you wear eyeshadow primer??
What is your favorite??

Wow this looks like a really good product! I wish I could wear makeup as well as you do! Unfortunately I always look like a drag queen gone bad lol so I stay away from the stuff. Thank you for sharing :)

My favorite primer is not technically a primer….but I works like a dream! I use MACs paint pot (which is like a gel shadow) in “Bare Study.” It never creases and my shadow stays on all day long! It looks about the same as the sin primer above, a great shimmer to it. Its really pretty alone too!

I tried an UD primer sample the other day (the original one) and I kind of hated it! It felt so dry!

I love their Eden primer! I used a sample that came with my naked 3 palette (it also came with the naked 2 palette!) and it stays on from 5:30am-9pm at night! LOVE!
