I think by now we all know that I’m cheap frugal. What can I say, I like to save a little money when I can. I am always looking for markdowns on my favorite items, clipping coupons, and patiently waiting for things I want to go on sale. I am the self proclaimed Coupon Queen…except I don’t always remember to buy a paper on Sundays and I am bad about leaving my coupons at home when I go shopping. FAIL.
So what’s a Coupon Queen to do when she has no coupons on hand? Improvise, of course! One of my favorite ways to save money is by using apps on my phone.
Anytime I am in a store and fins something I like I look for a coupon first. First and foremost I always check the store’s app. Stores like Kroger, WalGreens, and Target have their own apps that have coupons on them you can download and use right away. I think all stores should have an app like that!
If a certain store doesn’t have an app I check my Retail Me Not app. With this app you can look up the store you are in and see if they have any coupons available. RMN has both in-store and mobile coupons so you can use it while shopping in a store and online. It’s one of my very favorite apps. I use it all the time at Bath and Body Works and Lane Bryant.
Another app I LOVE is the Target Cartwheel app. This is an app for the Target store but instead of offering individual coupons for items it offers percentages off. For example, last week I saw that the runner rug I wanted for my hall was marked down in store and when I checked the Cartwheel app I got an additional 10% off. Add this in with my 5% off for using my Target Debit Card and I saved $15 on my rug! SCORE!!
My absolute favorite shopping app is ShopKick. Basically you get kicks (points) for walking into stores and scanning things. No purchase is needed to get your kicks. You can also link up your debit card and get kicks for every dollar you spend. You can put your kicks toward whatever reward you want. I put mine towards Sephora gift cards. For every 2500 kicks I get a $10 Sephora gift card. So far I have $40 worth of gift cards and am saving for a Naked 3 Palette!! Another way to get kicks is by friend referrals. You get 2000 kicks for every friend referred. If you feeling super nice could you please download the app and help a sister out? HERE is my link!! Thank you!!!
Deal Chicken, Living Social, Groupon I’m sure most of you are familiar with these apps but if you aren’t they are daily deal sites specific to your area! You can get deals on anything local to you…food, spa treatments, movies, concerts, workouts, etc.
Jane, Groopdealz, Sassy Steals These are my favorite daily deal sites for accessories!! You can find great deals on jewelry, anything monogrammed, clothing, bags, etc. LOVE these sites!!!
So those are all of my tips and tricks!! If you are looking at getting started in couponing one of my favorite websites is Coupon Divas. That’s where I got started! If you have any questions please et me know!
What are your favorite money saving apps??
