Happy Thanksgiving!!! I hope you are all having an amazing holiday with your family and friends!! I normally don’t blog on holidays…or at least it’s not a real post but today is different. Today I wanted to share with you what I’m really thankful for.
I am thankful for my family. And I mean my WHOLE family…my Dad and Step-Mom; my brothers and sisters; my step-brother; all of my sister/brothers-in-law; my nieces and nephews; my amazing grandparents; my aunts, uncles, and cousins. You all mean the world to me and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you. Thank you for always being there for me.
I am thankful for my friends….my IRL friends as well as my bloggy friends. You will never know how hard I prayed to have friends. After a certain age it just gets hard to find and make them. God has shown me that I have a few amazing IRL friends and led me to this blog where I met some amazing women that I am honored to call friends. Even though we don’t get to see each other often I talk to/text these women every single day.
I am thankful for my job(s). I say job(s) because I work at 2 local hospitals…one full time and one PRN (as needed). I am blessed to have amazing co-workers at both and managers who listen to me. I am grateful that I get to help people every day and that I see just how fragile life can truly be. I love working in the NICU so I can see true miracles every day.
I am thankful for my heath. Having a Mom pass away from cancer at a young age makes me really aware of my health. Of course this also means that I think any cold or allergy headache could be cancer but still…I am thankful for my good health.
I am thankful for the roof over my head and the car I drive. I am thankful my job provides me with the means to be able to afford both.
I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to go back to school. I don’t think I will ever be done learning but I am so glad to be back in the classroom environment learning about something so different. I am definitely out of my comfort zone but I think that’s a good thing.
I am thankful for my Sophie puppy. I love coming home to her every night. She makes coming home fun because she is solo excited to see me. I love the responsibility of her and teaching her new things. She is also the best little snuggle bug there is.
I am sure I have left something out but I kind of feel like my list is done.
What are you thankful for this wonderful Thanksgiving day??
