I did it. I have officially completed my very first week of school!! I admit it was kind of crazy with getting used to my new schedule and finding my way around campus but I LOVED every minute of it!
As promised here is my “first day of school outfit”. I said that I would do more fashion type posts and this me, attempting to do that.
I got the top at The Loft, the capris are Silver’s I got last year, and the shoes are Hush Puppies that I got at DSW. The top is a fave of mine because I got on vacation and because it zips in the back! I forgot to take a pic of that detail, sorry!
Back to school, I was pretty nervous that first morning because I hadn’t been in a classroom in five years. And then to top it off my first class was Business Calculus. Shoot me now. I am no gonna lie, that class scared me! I kind of (but not really) wish I had taken my advisor’s advice an retaken College Algebra.
Anyway, my next class was Computer Literacy and the teacher seriously asked us in the first day if we had ever been on The Internet. In capital letters like that and everything. Needless to say I’m pretty sure I’m going to get an A in that class.
My next class is the class I am most excited for, my IT class. First of all instead of regular textbooks we all got Google Chromebooks to use. If we stay in the program all three semesters they are ours to keep. How awesome is that?!
We are going to learn soooo much about blogging it’s ridiculous! I am soooo excited!! We will learn about other things too, HTML, coding, making apps, etc…but I am most excited about learning about the blogging aspect. In fact, our first “homework” is to build a blog in WordPress and write our very first blog post. If you just want to you can check out my school blog, The Plum Project, here.
I am also taking Microeconomics on tuesday nights. Of course the teacher says, Microeconomics is basically based on Calculus and I just shook my head and prayed. This will be a long semester between those two classes.
On Thursday my outfit included KIKILARUE!!! I love this top and actually have it in two different colors. I’m weird, I know.
Well dolls, it’s late and I have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work. BOO!! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!!

did anyone in your class admit they’d never been on the internet??

That is pretty awesome you get to keep the Google Chromebook if you stay in the program all three semesters. And my fingers are crossed for you with the business calculus. I didn’t take business calculus but calculus plain and simple is tough. Let’s be thankful we only have to take it once!

I don’t think it’s weird to have the same top in two different colors. Says the woman who buys the same top in several colors. ;) When you find something you like, run with it!!
Math = evil. Calculus = great evil. Math was never my friend. Good luck with that! Very cool about the Chromebook. And really? Who (besides my grandma…) hasn’t been on The Internet in this day and age?!
