Two weeks from today I will be in ATL with Rebekah and Jenn getting ready to travel to Charlotte, NC for Bloggy Boot Camp!! I can’t wait!!!
I signed up for this conference months ago and can’t believe it’s already here!!
So how exactly does one prepare for a blog conference if one has never been?? I’m seriously asking because I have no idea. I am not one of those girls who will tell you how to do something if I have never done it. I ask questions. LOTS of questions. And I make lists. LOTS of lists. I think I have made several versions of a BBC checklist.
I have the basics figured out…our hotel is reserved, Sophie is set to board at the vet, blog business cards are ordered, media kit is sorta finished, tons of clothing has been bought. What else do I need??
Do I need to take my laptop to the actual conference? Can I bring my iPhone charger to the actual conference? How dressy are the cocktail parties?I can’t wait to learn more about the business of blogging. I also can’t wait to meet so many amazing bloggers I have admired for so long. I have become friends with many of them and I can’t wait to meet in person!!! If you have ever been to a bloggy conference any and all advice is welcome!!
Can you take boxed wine or booze? That would be a cost saver instead of buying it there!
I hope you get a TON on answers…because I have some of the same questions! (Anddd, I’m pretty sure I don’t have a media kit. I need one?)
This may be a stupid question… But what is a media kit? So excited to meet you ladies!
I haven’t even thought about what I’m bringing, unfortunately I’m only coming up for the day so I don’t really have to pack any clothes. But I’m not hauling the laptop, I’ll just be bringing a notebook to take notes in and probably my iPad, business cards and myself ;o) can’t wait to meet you and everyone else!
I remember a couple weeks ago Kate at the Small Things blog had a whole list of things to bring and tips! I’ll see if I can find it for you!

It’s in Charlotte?! That’s only 1.5 hours from me! I had no idea, or I would have gone too! Man.
I know, I wish I would have signed up too because Charlotte isn’t far for me either, but I just can’t afford it right now. I can’t wait to hear about you experience and what you learn. Have so much fun and be safe!
