This past weekend was a BLAST!!!
Technically it was my weekend to work but I was off Sunday because I was invited to attend the UAMS Cook’s Tour/Jazz Brunch to raise money for cancer patient support groups. My Mom had cancer and I only wish that these groups had been available to her when she was alive.
I got to bring someone with me and I took Rebekah!
The whole street was blocked off and on one side there was a parking lot where a jazz band played and there were tables set up. The other side of the street had shops, art galleries, and a theater that we got to tour. It was really awesome!!
Each shop had a different drink and food prepared but local chefs….nom nom nom!!!
I had mimosas served three ways…regular, cherry pomegranate, and pineapple! I think the pineapple was my favorite!!
We also had a Fish Taco and chips and guacemole prepared by the chefs of the Local Lime and bread pudding for dessert!!
After we had been to all the shops and had our fill of mimosas we went to The Rev Room for their Beatles Brunch. Cause lets face it, one mini fish taco, some chips and guacamole, and a mini bread pudding isn’t going to fill this fat kid up. LOL!
It was an interesting brunch and I’m pretty sure our waitress was high…ha! The menu was Beatles themed and they only played Beatles music. Our food was pretty good. I got a burger…YUM!
After brunch we went our separate ways and I went to Starbucks and got the drink that made me a GOLD CARD MEMBER!!!
So that was my weekend! How was yours??

I wish I lived in an area that had cultural events going on all the time… living in the middle of a cornfield is quite boring. LOL.
