5 Years

This post contains affiliate links.

A lot can happen in 5 years.

In the past 5 years I have graduated college, moved 2.5 hours away from home, bought my first (and second and third) car by myself, bought a house, taken several nice vacations, and become a dog mom. I’m sure more things happened but that’s all I can think of right now.

What will happen in the next 5 years? I’m not really sure but I sure am excited about it!

A couple things I know for sure will happen. My student loan AND my car will be paid off. Do you know how amazing this sounds? That’s like getting a HUGE pay raise at work. I am already thinking of what to do with all that extra money. HA!

I don’t really have a 5 year plan but maybe I should?

Maybe I will be married in 5 years? Have a baby? Still be single? Who knows! The possibilites are endless but you know what? I am just happy to be along for the ride.

Do you have a 5 year plan for you life?

I like to think I have a 5 year plan for my life….but when man plans, God laughs…so I am trying to just enjoy each moment, day, year as it comes at this point. It is definitely fun to look back and see all that has happened and how things have changed over the years though :) I’ve been doing that with my travel Tuesday posts…reminising about vacations from the past is fun, but it is really giving me an itch to take a trip now :)

I cannot even tell you how many times I am asked…where do you want to be in 5 years. It is strange really. I turned 30 and then the public eye becomes cynical because I am not married and full of babies. I hope to be happy in 5 years, that is what I tell them. I feel I can somewhat control my happiness…the man, babies, house, etc. I cannot. LOL. Good post today, good going on the past 5 years and here’s to your next 5 successful years to come! :) I loved the Sophie pic, too cute!

You have gotten a lot accomplished. :) I don’t like five-year plans because I think they might force us to do things that we aren’t really enthusiastic about, just so we can meet the deadline. I’ve met/heard of people “settling” for a certain spouse just so they can be married before thirty…then they end up being miserable with someone who doesn’t really make them happy.

I have things I’d really like to “accomplish” in the next 5 years. Get my BSN and get a nursing job, get engaged/married, buy a house and new car. The typical stuff. But we will see what happens!

You certainly have accomplished much in five years, as you are a strong, self-sufficient woman…Great qualities to have! Yes, I have a 5 year plan. But you know what “they” say – “Life is what happens when we’re busy making plans.” :)

    XOXO,
