Happy Thursday loves!!!!
Who is super excited for the weekend ?!! I know I am!!!! I’m going home Saturday to see my sweet niece and visit with the fam for a little while. I can’t been wait!!
So today I am linking up with one of my fabulous sponsors, Ella, for her new linkup…Thrifty Thursday!!
Sweet Ella is saving money for her upcoming wedding and is trying to find ways to be thrifty! Look no further Ella, the Queen of Everything Cheap is here!!! HA!!
But seriously, when I bought my house I had to cut out some things I enjoy and really learn to budget. So today I am going to share with a couple of my favorite ways to save money!
First up take your lunch to work. Sounds silly but eating out 5 days a week for lunch adds up. I get on “kicks” of things I bring to work and for the past few weeks I have been bringing a Lean Cuisine pizza (they were on super sale and a small salad.
I LOVE to coupon and look for deals and I went to Target the other day and the Lean Cuisines were on sale for $2.50 each and I had 2 manufacturer coupons for $1 off four and a Target store coupon for $3 off a frozen food purchase. So I bought 10 LC which should have been $20 but with my coupons they were $15. Target also had a deal where when you buy 6 LC you got a box of Skinny Cow ice cream bars for free ($3.99 value). So for $15 I got 10 LC pizzas AND a box of Skinny Cow ice cream bars. Now that’s a deal.
I LOVE finding good deals like that but I didn’t start out with all of this coupon knowledge in my head. I learned it all from the Coupon Queen herself, Kitty. Please check out her website. Girl knows her stuff!!
And now here’s way to make some extra money on things you already have…
Have a ton of extra clothes or home decor lying around that you need to get rid of? You could donate it to Goodwill or you could potentially make some money off of it!! Last fall I joined a Facebook group called Dirty Secrets e-Boutique (it’s a real website now) that is basically like an online garage sale and all of the clothes in my “donate” pile I put on there and they all sold in two days. I also put some home decor items on there and sold all of that too. People will buy anything ya’ll. In a week I made just over $600. And I was going to donate that stuff!! My suggestion to you is to try and find a consignment shop in town or an online garage sale type thing.
Hope this “advice” helps.
How do you save money???

Love this!! Couponing is fantastic – I’m a huge proponent of it :) Dirty Little Secret is JUST what I need!! I have a huge box in my car of “clothes to take to Platos Closet” but this might be the solution.
Thanks so much for linking up R-Killa – don’t forget to submit your link on my page :) xoxox

Woah…I suck at couponing but I could totally get into selling my old stuff on Dirty Little Secret! I definitely need to clean out my closet and this might be a great way to do it!

So I go through my clothes twice a year and donate them to MESA..its a thing around here that helps families in need. I think everyone should do this once or twice a year! I just started the couponing thing..I save so much money!

Those Lean Cuisine pizzas aren’t bad. They are nice quick lunches.
Also, I am following you on Twitter as ASouthernRobin now; I had to make a new account.

Hi Ricci! Another AR girl here. I found you through Living on a Latte and a Prayer. I’m glad to see that you mentioned Dirty Secrets. I’ve found some great deals there. For example, I got a brand new 1.7 oz. bottle of Calvin Klein Euphoria for $25 – it typically retails for $64. My most recent score was a complete Rose Tree bedding set. It originally retailed at Dillard’s for $500, and I paid $65. So, there are some good deals to be found there.

Thank goodness for coupons! They can be lifesavers – especially as a university student!
Hope you had a great weekend!
