I haven’t posted about what I have been reading in a while so I thought I would catch you up! If you even care…LOL! You may have read where this past fall I became obsessed with Kristin Hannah. It all started with Firefly Lane. If you have not read that book yet stop what you are immediately, jump on Amazon (or actually go to a bookstore…whatever), and get this book in your hands. It is AMAZING!!
Enough about that. I could seriously get all mushy and talk all day about that book but I won’t ruin it for you! Anyway, after I read that book I read most of her books. I am bad about finding an author I like and reading EVERYTHING they ever wrote. I like what I like, what can I say?
In the midst of my Kristin Hannah obsession, I downloaded the Kindle app for my iPhone and started reading the Percy Jackson series. Totally YA lit but I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good series and PJ was actually pretty awesome! So awesome, in fact, that when I finished reading the PJ series I started the Kane Series.
I have only read the first book in the Kane series and it was different from PJ but still very good!! PJ was an easy read mostly because I like Greek mythology and know the gods. I know NOTHING about Egyptian gods so the Kane books are a little harder to get into for me. But I love them nonetheless. Granted I only read them when I am at work and it is kind of weird to simultaneously be reading another book (Kristin Hannah) at home but I make it work! LOL!
I am a book nerd, I know.

Other than listening to HP in the car, I just finished Gone Girl…which was awesome! But that also means I’m looking for something new. I might have to try Firefly Lane!

I am going to have to read the Kristin Hannah books now — you have officially sparked my interest!! I have been reading the 50 shades series..I am on book III and all raunchy comments aside – I love them and really want them to NOT make them into a movie because it would only be good if it was rated X and no man could ever be as sexy or as handsome as Christian is in my mind…if you haven’t read them – you should – right now they are my guilty pleasure :)
I read that book this summer. It was a good one! I also recently read Gone Girl and A Walk Across the Sun. I’d recommend both. Now, I’m on to making my way through some nonfiction books that I’ve started but need to finish.
I just finished reading Gone Girl & it was very good… I have not read any of these that you meantioned.
Just like everyone else, I just finished Gone Girl. Would definitely recommend it! I am reading Eat, Love, Pray now. I’ve had it on the shelf forever and never read it. Definitely interested in checking out Firefly Lane though!
