I know that a lot of bloggers are doing a day of blog silence for the victims of the Connecticut shootings but for me writing is therapeutic and so I will continue to write. It may be a fluff post but still, it helps me.
If you really knew me…
…you would know that I will always have a smile on my face no matter how much I am hurting.
….you would know that as much as I love dressing up and going places there is no better feeling than having a “yesterday’s makeup and greasy hair in a faux messy bun/pony” day.
…you would know that I am extremely sarcastic.
…you would know that I consider my friends my family.
…that pink is my hands down, absolute favorite color.
…that I consider Sophie my little black baby.
…you would know that it takes me a while to trust someone.
…you would know that I love the idea of change but am terrified when it actually happens.
…you would know that my secret hope is to get married and be a stay at home Mom. I think it would be awesome to have the opportunity to stay home with my babies while they are babies. You know, those babies that haven’t even been born yet with the husband I don’t have yet? Yeah, those babies.
…you would know that my favorite movies are mostly kid movies. I like adult movies too but I LOVE Disney movies, the HP movies, the Twilight Saga….etc.
…you would know that if your online dating profile contains the terms “big daddy”, “hi yella”, “duck baller”, “baitahook”, or any fishing reference for that matter really….I am probably going to block you. And ya’ll some of those names are real. You can not make this shiz up. (And for the record I am trying online dating again, please say a prayer for me!!)
…you would know that I love to see live shows (preferably musicals)!!! I have seen West Side Story on Broadway and after that I was hooked. Since then I have seen The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, and I am seeing Mary Poppins in February!! Can’t wait!! If you are in central Arkansas and want to see Jersey Boys with me in June email me!!

Don’t we all wish to be stay at home moms? Unfortunately it’s not reality in America. In order to be able to afford anything you have to work too, unless you marry a rich man.

My mom was a stay at home mom and home schooled me and my brother and sister until they got old enough to take their GED. She loved it. I wouldn’t mind staying at home for a little while with them, but I think I could only do it for so long before I had to work again.

I chose not to participate in the “moment of silence” day, either (I’m only not updating because I already did yesterday). I feel that people such as that shooter are trying to create fear and make everyone afraid to live.

I love love love live shows too! Several years ago I saw Rent in NY, and I’ve been hooked as well. Since then I’ve seen a few other things too.
Richard and I are in Little Rock fairly regularly, but he doesn’t like those type of things as much as I do. So, we should definitely go see a show together sometime. Just let me know when and where! :)
