Hairology

This post contains affiliate links.

In honor of Halloween I thought I would share something REALLY scary with ya’ll. Pictures of my hair from waaaaay back when….aka my hairology!! Enjoy!!

I was looking for something the other day and came across some old high school pics. Scary right? They actually weren’t so bad except the hair. Lord help us all, what did I do before the flat iron was invented?!

I distinctly remember my Mom going to her salon and buying a bunch of products for me to try to tame the ‘fro. Poor thing, she just knew mousse would be the answer to all my frizz. Yeah, that didn’t happen. LOL!

WARNING: Serious Picture OVERLOAD!

Pre-School Ricci…back when the wavy-curls were still cute!

And then something amazing happened…I bought my first Chi Flat Iron!! And I can honestly say that college was good to my hair…thank GOD!!

And of course…present day. Again thank God for whoever invented the flat iron!!

Hahah I love looking at old “hair” pictures and seeing how style changed! Your hair was seriously not bad – the scrunchie was just a bad fashion choice that should have never been invented. Have you seen that episode of Sex & the City where Carrie explains appropriate scrunchie use? You should see it if you haven’t!

Haha I love this, honestly what did people do before flat irons? We have no power in MI right now from the storm & I am dying, my hair is a mess. It’s not straight or curly, its just a weird mess lol.

P.S. still super jealous of your skin, especially your 10th grade picture!

Ah, times before Chi! Memories. I totally had a bowl cut too, above my ears and I thought I was THE hottest thing to hit 5th grade.

Hi, I found your blog through the “not quite there yet” link up. I just did a post like this but rather than looking at hairstyles I was looking at glasses (although to be honest my hairstyles were just as bad as the glasses in most cases.) Before hair straighteners my cousins used to literally iron their hair! Looking forward to following.

Thank god I have straight hair, I have no patience for hair styling! I just wash and brush and air dry (usually in a bun). SO lazy. :P Looks like you have conquered it, though! ;)

I love this! NO way I’d be brave enough to post pictures of me from ROUGH middle/high school years. Trust that I’m not even just ‘being nice’ when I say this but your hair wasn’t ever awful! You were and still are so pretty!

If I’m not mistaken, you were the first person to introduce me to the flat iron, back in the Jeanette street days. I’m now thankful for you every day! :)
