Starbucks vs Dunkin Donuts – Pumpkin Spice Latte

This post contains affiliate links.

Ever since mid-August-ish I started thinking about fall and lusting after ALL THE PUMPKIN THINGS and especially a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks!! I have made my pumpkin obsession no secret here on my blog…LOL!

Well I finally got that wonderfully perfect FIRST PSL of the season the other day and it was magical!! I also read somewhere on a blog yesterday that Dunkin Donuts also has a PSL. Hmmmm…that got me thinking.

DANGER ALERT! We actually just got our first Dunkin Donuts in central Arkansas a couple weeks ago so while I was out and about today I decided to try one for myself and compare the two!

Let me start this comparison by saying that I am by no means a coffee coniseur. I really don’t even ever drink it except for getting my PSLs in the fall/winter. So to me they both tasted about the same with the Dunkin Donuts version being a little sweeter. Dare I say I maybe liked it a little better?! Plus the Grande PSL at Starbucks costs almost $5 while the same size at DD costs a mere $3.30 tax included. Hmmmm…I may be a DD girl from now on. :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Thank you for this review! I had no idea Dunkin also had pumpkin spice lattes. Luckily there’s one RIGHT by my house (while the Starbucks is a little farther away). I know where I’ll be stopping to get my coffee tomorrow ;)

Youre welcome!! I didn’t know either until yesterday!! Like you the DD is closer to me than SBX and if it’s cheaper and tastes better I’m all for it!!

I had heard from a friend that DD was making PSL and PS coffee now! I wish they made pumpkin spice K-cups for the keurig!

I love Dunkin Donuts! It’s our main coffee place here in MA – I go every morning before work, and it’s so much cheaper..I think of my PSL from Starbucks as a treat since it’s $5!
