My Current Addiction

Let’s talk about my current addiction. First of all I think I have an addictive personality. I guess that could be a bad thing but I think I use it productively. It’s like I get an idea in my head and I’m consumed with this one thing until I’m done.

Last year I was all into Pinterest ad crafting. I was on Pinterest ALL THE TIME. I was crafting and making all of these recipes and it was fun! But then when I lost interest I wanted nothing to do with Pinterest any more. I mean I still like it but it doesn’t consume me and I’m not spending half my paycheck at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Right now I am addicted to online “garage sales”. One of my friends on Facebook got me to “like” her friend’s page, Dirty Secrets e-Boutique. It’s basically a garage sale type Facebook page you get on and “rent” a folder and you have two weeks to sell things.

I still had a bunch of boxes of stuff I hadn’t unpacked from my move last year and I really needed to clean out my closet so I thought why not? The first day my folder was open I sold 75% of my stuff! The next day I added some more stuff and sold all of it! Each day since then (it started last Thursday so I am only on day 5) I have looked through my house trying to find stuff to sell!! I am going to be the crazy lady with a house with nothing in it because I sold it all! Ha! I guess that’s better than being a hoarder though!

It has definitely helped in getting rid of some stuff I didn’t need and stuff I was going to give away for free and I have made a nice little chunk of change but I think once my album is empty I am not putting anything else on there. Although I may clean my attic out this weekend when I get my fall stuff down so who knows what I will find when I’m up there? LOL!
