The Big 2-9

This is my very first post as the Big 2-9! I must say it doesn’t feel any different from being a 28 or 27 year old…LOL! My actual birthday was yesterday which is the same birthday as Abraham Lincoln…there’s a little trivia for you.

I had a great birthday weekend! Friday my friend Elizabeth and I went to see The Vow when I got off work! LOVED it!!! It wasn’t what I thought it was going to be but it was still a great story! She also got me the Red Velvet Cake candle I have had my eye on at Target…it smells delicious!!! She also got me some new hot pink Essie nail polish, some Razorback face stickers (for games), and the movie Ramina and Beezus (great movie if you haven’t seen it).

Saturday I loaded up The Beast, aka Sophie, and we headed south to see my parents. They are moving from their house to their lake house permanently so I had to go clean out the rest of my stuff from their house. I didn’t have too much stuff, just some old clothes and stuff but I did have to go through a lot of my Mom’s stuff that we hadn’t go e through since she died. I am now the proud owner of no less than three sets of dishes, fancy silverware, a TON of old pictures, some journals of hers, and her wedding dress! :) I even found a couple things of my real Dad’s. I was one happy, dirty girl on Saturday.

After cleaning all day we went back to the cabin and cleaned ourselves up a bit and went to this hole in the wall Mexican place for my birthday that had the most AMAZING salsa!!! Yum!!! Great birthday dinner!!!

Sunday I loaded up my car and came home. After unloading all that stuff into my garage my motivation left me and I took a shower and then a nap! Ha! I really needed to unpack and go through all of that stuff and clean my house and go to WalMart but I didn’t do a thing. It was wonderful! It was my birthday and I didn’t care! :)

It’s supposed to snow today (actually it is snowing now) and I’m at work. I just hope it sticks to the light fluffy snow and we don’t get any snow or ice! I need to be able to drive home tonight!!
