“Just another manic Monday…” -The Bangles

I’m sad the weekend is over…I got a LOT done around the house! I cleaned every room from top to bottom, finally took down my Christmas tree (don’t judge….it was in a room with the door closed all the time and I kind of forgot about it), and even gave Sophie a bath! Very productive if I do say so myself.

I still need to organize a few drawers but maybe that will happen next week.

The main room I wanted to clean was my first extra bedroom. It’s at the front of my house and the front windows actually look in to that room. Until now it was kind of a catch-all room. I still had some boxes from when I moved in there, a broken coat rack, my Christmas tree…etc. Now it just has a couple pieces of furniture but I want to make it into a library/craft room! I found my inspiration for the room from Pinterest (where else?). I want to paint the walls a dark gray and have black, white, and red accents in there! I have a couple bookshelves that are white and a desk I want to paint black. I have some other ideas but I don’t want to give everything away!

I went to the movies this weekend and saw Journey 2. It was actually really good! I saw it by myself Sunday afternoon in 3D. I actually like going to the movies by myself. There is nothing better than being alone in a dark theater with a big tub of popcorn and a diet coke. Very liberating also!
