Walking in the Rain

This post contains affiliate links.

I decided to take Sophie for her first walk in the park close to my house. It’s a gorgeous little park with a long walking trail that’s goes deep in the woods so that you almost forget your in the city.

We got there early this morning while it was cool out and it was a little cloudy but I figured it was just the trees around us making it dark. Wrong!

We walked (well I walked and dragged Sophie behind me, my girl is nosy and loves to sniff) for about 10 minutes when I felt the first drops of rain. But it was only a little sprinkle so we kept walking. Mistake!

Apparently we were under the protection of the trees when it “sprinkled” and as soon as we were out from under them it started pouring!! So I high tailed it back to the car and this time Sophie was able to keep up. I think she was scared of the rain…LOL!

By the time we got back to the car and inside of course it stopped raining. I thought about trying again but at that point I was covered in sand (thanks Sophie) and Sophie was passed out in my lap. So that was our big walk in the park. Fail!

Here’s to hoping that walking in the park goes better next time.

howdy! 1st time stopping by your blog and I wanted to be sure to say hello!

I’ve had plenty of these walks so I just had to “chuckle” it always sucks at the time, but then you just kinda look back and giggle. Living in Florida, this happens SO often. Ugh!
