Midweek Catch Up

This post contains affiliate links.

I feel like I haven’t been on here in forever so today’s post will be a little midweek catch up post!! I have been keeping up with my blog reading but not my posting…oops! I was in a funk all weekend so I really didn’t get anything accomplished that I wanted to. Boo.

Back up to last Friday, I had the WORST day ever at work and was so tired when I got home that I fell asleep at 8:30pm and woke up at 10am. I got up around 5am to let Sophie outside to got potty but that was it. I really didn’t do too much else all day except lay on my couch and watch movies. It was a totally wasted Saturday. Guess the Hogs were feeling my funk mood because they got slaughtered by Alabama.

Sunday was better and I actually took a shower and went out in public. Granted it was only to go to the grocery store but I was definitely in a better mood. I got some stuff to make some of the recipes I have been finding on Pinterest. So far I love them all! I made Crack Dip Sunday and it was very good, maybe too many bacon bits but good!

Monday I went back to work and was sooooo glad I was in a different area than Friday. I had a much better day and felt back to normal again. Whew…I was sooooo glad to be over that funky mood I was in!

Tuesday I was off and had  FaBuLoUs day! I woke up early and took Sophie to the park and we walked. It was a gorgeous morning and there was no rain this time!! Sophie did really good on her leash. I was a little worried about that because she chewed through her harness and I was afraid of her choking when she pulled against her collar on the leash. But she did good!

After the park we came home and I weeded my flower bed. I wish I had a before picture because I have not touched it since I moved in the house in July…oops! But it’s all pretty and weed free now. And Sophie had fun running in circles in the yard…lol.

I mentioned last week that my friend Elizabeth and I were going antiqueing and going to flea markets. Well I found some great pieces to go in my front bedroom. I got an old vanity that I’m going to use as a desk. I also got an old bookshelf and a huge frame. I want to rehab these pieces and do them kind of shabby chic and make them all different colors and just do something FUN in that front room.

So yesterday I painted the bookshelf a gorgeous teal color called Swizzle Stick! It’s too cute for words now!!! I’m excited about doing something to the other pieces now…I blame my sudden craftiness on Pinterest.

I also took myself to the movies last night. I love, love, LOVE going to the movies alone. There is just something about going alone and getting lost in the movie. I saw the new Sara Jessica Parker movie, I Don’t Know How She Does It. It was GREAT! And apparently it’s based on a book so now I will have to find it and read it!

Well this post is getting a little long so I guess I will go now. Here’s to hoping that today is a good day and that my Hogs win on Saturday (and that I will blog again before then…)! WPS!

I’m currently reading “I dont know how she does it” — I’m half way through it (I’m also half way through The Help, too!) and I LOVE it! The book is based in England whereas the movie is based in NYC but either way, the book is great!
