Long time, no post. OOPS!! I know it has been FOREVER since I posted on here but I have been a little busy! In the past week alone I have signed the contract to build my first home (YAY!!!), started shopping for a new car, got stuff together for my passport application, and had a minor breakdown in all of that. Ha!
First things first, I finally got approved to buy a house but instead of just buying one I decided to build. The lease on my apartment isn’t up for 4 months and it only takes 4 months to build one so it just kind of made sense! Here is my floor plan:
It is a Rausch Coleman home and even my Dad approved! And that is saying a lot considering he builds houses for a living. Some have asked me “How come your Dad isn’t building your home?” well that it because he lives 2 1/2 hours away.I’m soooo excited to see it go up and can’t wait to move in!! It was so much fun picking out everything about the house and now I’m just hoping I made good choices! HA!
I mentioned I am shopping for a new car. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Tahoe but I do NOT love the payments on it. Buying/Building a home has kind of put things into perspective for me. Having the big giant SUV is no longer important and neither is paying for a gym membership that I no longer use. I am learning to cut back and I’m kind of liking it!!
Last but not least, the passport! Originally my vacation for the year was going to be going to Florida for a week with a couple close friends and do a total girls week but then a co-worker (and friend) mentioned she knew a great deal on a cruise that we just couldn’t pass up! So forget Florida I am cruising to Mexico baby!!! I am soooo excited!!! I have never been on a cruise or anywhere really so maybe this is the beginning of many more exotic (and passport required) vacations to come!!
Well, that pretty much sums up my last couple of weeks. Full of ups and downs and everything in between. I sure hope this next week is drama free!
