If have you been following me on Instagram for the past month or so then you have seen me post about this Lancôme peel I have been doing. You see, Influenster was awesome enough to send me this fantastic peel right when I was in the middle of a skin funk and y’all I can not stop singing it’s praises!! I got the Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo 28 Day Peel in the same box with some hot pink lipstick (by Lancôme of course) and the Lancôme Bienfait UV 50+ sunscreen, everything I needed to get my summer started off right!!
I know you want to hear all about the peel so let’s get to it!! I said earlier that I was in a skin funk and that’s true. My usual skincare routine consists of washing my face when I get home from work with this face wash, using my all time favorite toner and then this night cream. I usually exfoliate in the shower and I always though that was enough, apparently not! My skin had been feeling kind of dull and dry so I was pumped when I checked the mail and found this peel from Influenster! It was just what my skin needed right before summer!
As you can see it has two phases, it a dual phase leave on liquid peel that is good for all skin types. Phase 1 is used for 14 nights and then Phase 2 is used for 14 nights, 28 nights total. The instructions are pretty simple for both parts…before you go to bed you just wash and tone your face like you normally would and then apply 3-4 pumps of the peel to your face followed by your normal serum and moisturizer. Sounds easy enough, right? Right!
So here I was the day I started Phase 1…
…Phase 1 is formulated with 5% bio-acids such as fruit acids and quinoa husk extract that work to reduce the appearance of pores, improve skin’s texture, and radiance. Phase 1 is considered the gentler of the two phases and my skin didn’t really feel any different after using this phase, it just smelled really good!!
Here was midway through Phase 1…
…again not a huge change, just smelled delicious!
Then Phase 2 started. Here is the day I started Phase 2…
…immediately I noticed that my face felt all tingly when I applied the peel. I reread the instructions and all the literature I have said this is completely normal. Phase 2 is formulated with 10% derma-acids—including 0.5% salicylic acid and 9.5% pure glycol acid (the highest amount you can get without a prescription)—this phase reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. I noticed that my face was very sensitive during this phase so I actually changed my nighttime moisturizer to this sample of Drunk Elephant’s Lala Retro Whipped Cream and I have never felt more luxurious in my life. Y’all this stuff is legit. I need to get some more STAT!!
During this phase is when I noticed the most difference in my skin tone…the redness went away, my dark spots started fading and I really think the fine line by my eyes started to go away. Here is the last day of the peel…
…can you tell a difference?? I sure can!! My skin has never been this smooth in my entire life!!
Here is a little side by side so you can see the difference, it’s crazy!!
So now that my skin is all fresh and summer time ready I am planning on keeping it this way partly with my 30 Day Clarisonic Challenge and partly by staying out of the sun as much as one with beach trip in two weeks and season passes to a water park can…HA!!
Thank you Influenster and Lancôme for this amazing product!! I will definitely be purchasing this Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo 28 Day Peel once summer is over and I need to rehab my skin again!
