“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Hello October, my favorite month ever!! Not only is October the first official full month of fall but the weather in Arkansas is finally feeling cooler, there are pumpkins everywhere, it is the month of some pretty fabulous birthdays, and I have several exciting things planned for this month!!
I am starting this month off right by taking a little road trip to Stuttgart Arkansas this week! What’s in Stuttgart you ask? Rice! Yes, I said rice. I got invited to attend the Taste of Home Cooking School and to tour Riceland with some of my favorite Arkansas Women Bloggers. I have been through Stuttgart a million times but honestly never stopped. I can’t wait to see the farms, tour the Riceland Sample House, and go to the cooking school! #Riceland #TOHCookingSchool
Speaking of traveling I think we all know I am a huge fan of traveling and I have a huge Travel Bucket List. Well thanks to a silly Snapchat Story thing I watched last night I have now added the Seven Wonders of the World to my list. Totally doable right? HA!! But really though, if your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough! I have no idea how I would ever afford to travel to places like that or even get the time off work to see them properly but it’s on the list!
Still talking travel here…remember the east coast road trip I took last summer with one of my best friends? Well when we were in NYC we walked through Central Park to find Strawberry Field and the John Lennon Imagine memorial but alas, we failed. We got miserably lost and gave up. I told that story to my friend Blakelea and when she was there last week on an anniversary trip with her husband she sent me this pic!! THANK YOU Blakelea!!!
Gorgeous pic, right? She should totally take up photography!!
Some other things I am looking forward to in October are my Mom’s birthday. She would have been 58 years old this year. I can’t even imagine that. She will forever be early 40’s in my mind. My best friend Rebekah also shares the exact same birthday! I could not have chosen a better birthday twin for my Mom.
October is also the month of KK. Rebekah and I are traveling to Lubbock in a couple of weeks for a football game and we will hopefully see him up close and personal! So if you have any suggestions for things to do in Lubbock let me know!!
So as you can see, I am really excited about October!
Do you love October as much as I do??
Do you have any big plans for this month??

It sounds like an interesting October for you indeed. I would so love to travel but haven’t been able to in years. The west coast like California I would love to see some day. I love October because of the beautiful fall colors and I love carving the Halloween Pumpkins. Thanks for sharing your October.

This is one of my favorite months as well. The leaves start to change color, it’s my birthday month and because of Halloween. I love Halloween!

I love October too. The pretty fall leaves are my favorite. It was cool last week but the warmth returned this week. Bummer. I love the cooler temps too.

I would definitely like to see the 7 wonders as well. We were in Lubbock recently visiting Texas Tech because my daughter really wants to go there. We did drive up to Amarillo and went to Cadillac Ranch, which is an experience. If you go, bring spray paint.

Probably the best month ever, since it has both Halloween and my birthday in it. Really, what more could the world want?
